ahhh good to know! that’s probably related to another issue I’m trying to fix rn, but as a workaround you should be able long-press Delta from the My Apps tab, press “Remove”, then reinstall it again (without deleting it)

sorry about that, we’ve filed some radars but yeah the update flow does seem to have some issues (at least on 17.x) 😕
What issue are you seeing for AltStore? Is there an error message, or is it not showing up?
For Delta at least, you can long-press it in My Apps tab and then press “Remove” to remove it from your My Apps list, then you should be able to reinstall it to manually update it to 1.6.1 (you can keep Delta installed the entire time though)

So turns out the iPad version of Delta can ~technically~ load and display iPhone-only skins perfectly fine, who knew!

However, the main reason I added them was to make the “Hold Button” feature MUCH more convenient. This feature is crucial for playing certain games on touch screen…but having to constantly open the pause menu just to hold/release a button can be annoying
Now you can press Menu + any button, and Delta will keep it “held down” (or release if already held down) — perfect for games like Mario Kart where you need to hold A at just the right time 👌

With Delta 1.6 out, wanted to highlight some of my personal favorite features — starting with the new “Menu Button Gestures”
Previously, to perform quick actions like toggling fast forward or saving/loading save states without opening pause menu, you had to download a skin that explicitly supported it (e.g. this Pokémon Pinball skin by HoriZon)
With 1.6, you can now activate these quick actions with *any* skin: just hold down the Menu button and perform the relevant gesture!

Some positive news! App Review just called — tl;dr we *are* allowed to include Patreon benefits (e.g. alternate app icons), there are just some changes we need to make first
Rather than delay 1.6 any more though, we’ve removed *all* Patreon functionality for now and resubmitted. Plan is to add it back in an update soon once we get 1.6 out the door (hopefully soon)🤞

I started by hiding the dock and showing recent apps, but the secret was to do the OPPOSITE: hide recent apps, but always show the dock. This makes it trivial to pull in the occasional extra app from the dock as needed, but also *really* helps rewrite my brain to not expect iPad apps to always be full screen
Plus now I can have a dedicated Delta window running in the corner at all times 🙏

Some personal news: after forcing myself to use Stage Manager for the past couple months…I am (reluctantly) now a fan 🙃
There’s plenty of room for improvement, but at this point I much prefer it to classic iPadOS multitasking. I still primarily use one app at a time, but it’s trivial to add windows as needed, and using apps full screen just seems like a waste of space now

When we first met with the EC a few months ago, we were asked repeatedly if we trusted Apple to be in charge of Notarization. We emphatically said yes.
However, it’s clear to us now that Apple is indeed using Notarization to not only delay our apps, but also to determine on a case-by-case basis how to undermine each release — such as by changing the App Store rules to allow them
For these reasons, we are no longer telling the EC we trust Apple to be in charge of Notarization 🤷‍♂️

it supports opening games via deep links! The format is kinda…unintuitive, but you can long-press a game, tap “Share,” then “Copy Deep Link” to grab a game’s URL directly
