Well actually I guess you are back to problem 2 that Fiatjaf outlined namely that many microblogging clients would then ignore your other stuff keys. This would be a problem with my solution as well.
In Fiat's solution c, spamming other stuff into type 1 gives the advantage that microblogger apps would appear to suck, if they don't handle these signals in a pretty way (implementing or NIP31 & NIP89 help).

I like your idea, but I think most governments don't because:
1) through the tax system they get to spy on what people are doing and who is getting rich and powerful.
2) part of them taxing you is actually not that they need your money as much as it's them wanting you to stay poor enough that you need an income and hence have to stay in their rat race.

Chicken curry w. goat cheese & cashu nuts

Haven't done a chicken curry for a while. Today I mashed together what I could find in the kitchen.
It went really well, so here's a note to future self and for you home cookers.
Per serving:
1 good piece of leftover chicken
1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
1 dash of chicken broth
1 tbsp of ghee
1 tbsp of olive oil
1-2 tbsp of curry
3 tbsp goat cheese
Golden raisins
Cashew nuts
Salt + pepper
Served with jasmine rice
Heat chicken in a pot. Add chopped onion and ghee, keep heat low. Add curry.
When onion goldens add olive oil and chopped garlic. Then add chicken broth.
When boiling 5 min. add goat cheese and stir carefully not to get the cheese stuck to the pot.
When cheese has melted into the sauce add salt + pepper to taste. Add cashew nuts and raisins and serve on rice.
Bon apetit!

Well, I'm advocating for people to use custodial wallets for money they are willing to loose. I'm also fan of making these solutions less prone to be rugged.
That's why I started this thread, in the hope to spur a good discussion on what we can do better in the future.

Haha, if we are to nitpick over the wording some more, I would argue the word centralized/decentralized can be used to describe several aspects of a software system.
The aspect I were thinking about is how easy it is for the people behind the service to screw over their customers. And I'm asking how to make the mints more trustworthy.
A better word to use here may be trustless.
Cachu does not have a trustless setup and therefore I were asking how to mitigate the lack of trust.
You tell me that the Cachu use federated solutions. That's new info to me as you can guess since it was one of the solutions I proposed.
Back in the day I remember Calle telling me that Cachu does not use a federated setup. So good for them, if your information is correct and they have been coming around on that one.

I also think Latam as much part of the western world as it can be, without being part of it. This is mostly because of shared culture.
You need to either innovate more or attract innovators/businesses to the Latam area.
And to make to place attractive you need some systemic stability and efficiency, so that businesses believe they can count on the people they do partnerships with, and so that people feel safe working from there and living there.

Sorry I feel I have to follow up on this one because first answer was horribly.
I think the main reason is innovation.
The last hundreds of years significant innovation has come from north western Europe. Basically from the France/Northern Italy and upwards. Perhaps with epicenter in the Nederlands.
The US has contributed significant innovation as well, same for Japan.
With innovation comes business. And with business comes partnerships.
So there you have the outline of the west + Japan.

Julian helped government officials speak up about things the public would not approve of and which may be against international law.
