I don't know the answer to your question but figured I'd chime in with a comment. With murs and frs radios ... the radios are licensed so the operator doesn't need to be, but they're locked in to certain channels and power. Ham radios arent locked in to certain channels or powers because the operator is what's licensed and should know what freq to operate on. Most radios listed as "amateur radios" aren't locked to specific channels because they're meant for ham operators.

Keep it up! I'm working on day 64 and wondering if I really want to stop ... It's become routine now. The kids are asking to go out for run/walks and I caught my middle kid riding the stationary bike while reading a book today. #75hard works for me.

Random grapes starting to grow nicely this year. They were growing when we moved here. I've since built something for them to grow on and last year we made a half gallon of grape juice. I'm not a huge fan of fruit juice but dang that was good.

Two week of #75hard done. (Working on day 15 today). I haven't lost much weight but that's not my goal. I feel amazing ... Lost the desire for coffee all day. But, I do still miss an ice cold beer on warm evenings like today. My dogs are getting a lot more exercise too!

well, one week of #75hard down and 9.7 weeks to go.
After one week, I can say it's putting stress on my body but more than that it's made me prioritize my time. Made planning my day a routine instead of an occasional thing. It's forced some bad habits to the sidelines just due to time constraints. Sure I've lost a couple pounds but I can understand why it's described as more mental than physical.
Either way, if you're not actively moving towards your goals, you'll end up sliding away from them. So, active it is.

My favorite thing about nostr is that the feed isn't an endlessly scrolling repeat of the same content that I don't care about. It's only what I want to see in chronological order. I can scroll for 5 minutes and see everything new. Or, I can go check out new hashtags. So much better when you're in control. Getting zaps is the icing on the cake.

Apple trees are in bloom. I've never had huge success with them. I refuse to spray so what does take ends up looking gnarly. The kids tend to bake them into things though. Any good non-chemical methods for getting better fruit?

Another hard thing that I do is trail running. I'm not fast but it requires a lot of training and perseverance ... And alone time in the woods. This picture is me finishing 12+ hours of trail running and still carrying my kid across the finish line. I hope these memories inspire them to reach high as well.

Looks awesome. I made a similar stool with scrap wood. We call it the ugly stool. (Yours looks much nicer). But everyone sits on it every morning to put their shoes on regardless of what it looks like. So I call it a win!

I planted 10 trees this past weekend. 5 red oak and 5 redbuds. Nothing fancy, just whatever they had at the county ag tree sale. A little compost and some water to help them along. I've been planting trees almost every year. Sometimes one or two, sometimes 100. Slow and steady wins this race.
