I'm not sure why the Canadian & American governments think it is fine to let billionaire sociopaths prey on their citizens at will. We need GDPR & DSA equivalents at a minimum.
Hopefully the EU can continue to lead the way here, and end the notion that oligarchs are free to manipulate democracies or intervene in foreign or domestic politics as they see fit, once they acquire the means to do so.

If Ange would return my calls, I'd recommend [a player like] Solanke due to his aerial threat in front of goal *and* the ability to win the ball in the air from our goalkeeper or playing out from the back - something the vertically challenged options may struggle to offer.

Thanks, remarkable seeing the contrast. An additional layer of complexity - if someone is technically fit but not in the squad due to poor form, vs someone with the self discipline/high pain threshold to still get in the squad while technically not "fit", playing limited minutes. Or players putting surgery off b/c they can play through it and still be better than any viable replacement...like Sonny. 🤯

Been meaning to ask - have you looked closely enough at his history to believe his body is breaking down - that there is evidence that the missed days will only continue to compound as he ages - or could it be bad luck (most recent season had the most absences), and another club might benefit from a complete or nearly complete season from him?

I am truly surprised at the number of people that can't recall a time in very recent history when trusted politicians, journalists, media outlets and notable public figures wittingly and unwittingly conspired to use overblown news reports & wild reactions to those reports in a feedback loop to prevent the best Presidential candidate for the American people being elected, handing the election to the best candidate for the American oligarchs instead.

I agree with this take, but would add that I don't put that squarely on David. Canada was not good at all for a very long time, and while improving & able to compete with the best, they don't seem built to score. It feels like goals are pleasant surprises. I don't watch every match, but I can't recall any match when any forwards has been dominant. Not saying it doesn't happen - I'm saying I don't expect it/can't recall it.
