I'm not sure why the Canadian & American governments think it is fine to let billionaire sociopaths prey on their citizens at will. We need GDPR & DSA equivalents at a minimum.
Hopefully the EU can continue to lead the way here, and end the notion that oligarchs are free to manipulate democracies or intervene in foreign or domestic politics as they see fit, once they acquire the means to do so.
