The main game is that you start off with 100 players and y’all have to basically fight to the death to be the last man/team standing - which is when you win.
So if you play with a friend (in a team) if you both are alive and become the last ones, you both have won.

Learned about the discontinued DIVX disc format recently. Not to be confused with the video CODEC.
Major selling points were being able to “purchase” a movie/disc, take it home and watch it like a rental (watch it multiple times within 48hrs), never have to return it, have the ability to rent it again or buy it (pay to play model) or just throw away the disc.
What a stupid idea that was.

I only play fortnight to spent time with the kids. I think it’s the 3rd person view I just can’t get used to/enjoy.
I still refuse to spend a dime on it, I continue to rock the default characters.
For me Halo > Fortnight.
Although, we all play Boomerang Fu together and that’s super fun. If you haven’t played that, highly recommended. You play as a food character with a boomerang via top down view, many laughs are had in that game.

Curious, when I use nosta.me it shows the correct metadata of my npub, but using nostr.at or njump.me is showing old metadata - why? #asknostr
It's not my browser cache.

Never heard of it, checked it out and looks like a Reddit[isk] Nostr client? Certainly looks nice.
Noticed the "Relay" option under settings is showing a lot of relays showing errors and that I don't even had set in my iOS client - curious how they got there.
Is there another way to view and edit relays that some clients may not be picking up?

Had an epiphany that unless I hold it in my hand, I do not own it, I can not share it or pass it on.
Also was sick of paying for access instead of paying for ownership. Even if you 'buy' something digitally (i.e. iTunes etc), you don't really own it.
So I've started getting hold of 4K/UHD/Blu-ray media of my favourite movies/shows and CDs for music, then ripping them into my NAS for access via Plex/Infuse player.
The ease of streaming raw [full quality] content and owning it/being able to hold in my hands.

True. So, absolute worst case, if all the relay admins hated XYZ user, and banned their npub from writing to their relay, they could just spin up their own relay.
Then said user would need to tell everyone that wanted to interact with them to add their relay to their relay list - at least that is what it sounds like..?

Sadly the “don’t like it, build your own XYZ” has been the excuse/response from day one on the censorship topic.
You can build it, but the app won’t be accepted into the AppStore. Apple/Google will just ban it if it accepts speech from those that they don’t like etc.
The story of Gab is what will keep happening again and again. Their solution was to own the hardware and build a PWA. It’s centralised, but it’s theirs.
It’s sad, but I foresee Nostr really not solving this problem. Happy to be proven wrong.

If Gab started their own relay, and/or other free speech sites, can developers, such as #[0], commit to never coding in censorship for their apps?
This is what happened to Gab; when they joined Mastodon, all the fediverse apps hardcoded blocks into them to prevent users from using their app if they were signing into Gab’s instance.

Sounds like Nostr is still vulnerable to users being targeted for censorship though - as in all the relays being of the same mind regarding a particular account (like what happened to AJ with all the big tech sites).
As well as what happened to Gab when they joined the fediverse - all the other instances banned Gab’s, completely isolating them and destroying the whole point of the fediverse.
I’m no software engineer, but would have thought a ledger aka blockchain technology being implemented as the only way to allow true free speech without risk of being censored. 🤔 🤷🏻‍♂️
