How to 🍊💊 the dismissive…
Just had a heated debate with someone who *was* anti-Bitcoin… and this person was a total stranger 😅
Firstly… these convos happen a lot when I get chatting to people about Bitcoin and crypto.
95% of the time it’s because either has…
• Dismissed it due to negative media
• Been burned by the “crypto” larpers
• Has not put in the hours to learn
My shoes often get people talking and that’s why I wear them everywhere. Anyway… short story.
After he threw at me the usual… no fundamental value, bad for the environment, no use case I asked him 5 simple questions and immediately it disarmed the anti-sentiment and gave me control of the conversation.
• What is money?
• What is debt/credit?
• How does inflation work?
• What’s your favourite resource for learning about new tech like Bitcoin?
• What is proof of work?
Amazingly but not shockingly he could let answer any of these questions and his response… “ok maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about…”
My response was you do, you just don’t realise that what your talking about has been implanted to you and therefore they are not your opinions. And that’s when the penny dropped.
I’ve given him the kickstarter pack for learning about money and Bitcoin. This includes books, YouTube vids and podcasts. Everyone has a different learning style so never just give one way to learn. We’ve swapped numbers and when he is ready I’ve told him we will grab a drink and go into old fashion rabbit hole convo.
Lesson of the story here is that everyone likely started where this guy did… I know I once was in the dark. We all have a role to open the door for everyone to walk through. If they walk through it then GREAT. If not… that’s ok. They will one day in their own time… but perhaps not on their terms.

🚨🚨🚨 The regulators in the United States and the U.K & Europe are distracting you with theatre while the establishment tries to drive through the #RESTRICTact and The Online Safety Bill.
This will be used to attack #Bitcoin in the future you can almost guarantee it.
Bitcoiners are misdirecting their energy on CZ and the crypto casino too much. I get that these guys are an issue but our time preference teaches us to be more strategic because the establishment is playing chess and we’re playing checkers.

I’ve got a strategic brain… I spend a lot of my time thinking (sometimes overthinking things) but there really isn’t much to over think here. A key rule in trading is IF this THEN this. This isn’t about TikTok.
I’m sorry but IF this bill and the UK Online Safety Bill are passed THEN democratic values are likely heading to the rear view mirror. You have to understand past actions, history and the way these types of things get interpreted to set future precedent. It’s naïveté of everyone to dismiss this as anything other than the western world, (that our grandparents fought for) collapsing to authoritarian ideology. Which btw you might think is fine if “your guy” or “your party” is in charge but unfortunately in a democracy others can get voted in… and with this power chaos can ensue.
These acts put us on a path to a repeat a dark history as populism and fascism will rise faster with this in place. We knew this decade that democratic principles and values would be tested to extremes and so far 25% of the way in it’s clear we’re losing our way.
Got to hope that policy makers and principled based politicians stay true to who we are.
Don’t take my word for it… Read them yourself and play out different scenarios in the future. Alternatively book a ticket to China to see what your future life looks like.

Here’s how I’m talking about Bitcoin after thousands of hours researching and honing my opinion on it.
Bitcoin is the Global Reserve Digital Commodity for the Digital Age. It’s just that the world hasn’t realised this yet.
If you’ve done the work you will have already realised that Bitcoin is the perfect digital commodity that crosses the chasm of humanity’s two worlds… our physical world and our digital world. The base layer of BTC has so much more in common with the Global Reserve Physical Commodity which is Oil than it does the Global Reserve Currency, the United States Dollar (for now anyway).
Once the world realises this, especially nations, #Bitcoin will quickly permeate across society as it’s network expands rapidly into everyone’s lives and businesses which will then accelerate its role as a future currency (or foundation for currencies) across the world.
In the not too distant future you will come to learn that nations, hopefully your nations HODL Bitcoin like their National Defence and Sovereignty depends on it, and much like they have Strategic Reserves of Oil today, they will have Strategic Reserve of Bitcoin tomorrow.

India + Africa + Middle East (GCC)
These are the absolute powerhouses of the next 10-20 years.
While the US (and Europe) slows innovation through political shenanigans, tries to avoid bankruptcy & retain control over others, and China tries to save its economy in a de-globalised world the builders & growth hungry regions above will absolutely thrive.
The GCC is leading the way and believe me when I tell you that India is booming with talent while Africa is beyond rich in resources.
The new world order is not western or eastern as some want you to believe. They will be sidekicks of the above.

A possible scenario/theory that I’m building out… if we have waves of inflation & deflation correlated with peaks & troughs in the DXY & bond yields with a sequence of global liquidity rising from the East & then the West…

Rising rates and further rate hikes does not mean immediate 📉 for risk assets. Liquidity is key & imo the injection in the East still has a few months to work it’s way through the system.
H1 still looks 🐂 for #Bitcoin imo. Rest of the year we assess once we get closer as this is where the Western liquidity risks/changes come in & rate hikes perhaps are felt in the markets.

This was something heavily debated back in 2021. The STX team have not deviated from the position below.
Given the state of play across crypto and how the rest of the ecosystem has been allowed to operate it’s a reasonable position to take in order to try and compete. Under a full Bitcoin standard it’s harder to see why a token is needed but while we’re on a fiat standard and incentives are skewed as they are it’s more understandable.

Yeah totally agree. I see it with majority of my friends and family. A lot of it is social pressure and/or “the thing you do” because parents etc. I can guarantee that if my friends understood what money is and how the system is programmed to debase forever they would second guess it. Most also don’t understand rates and leverage either which is crazy given that’s the basis of what a mortgage is. Home ownership with majority mortgage based debt is one of the greatest fiat scams that exists. Buying a house or apartment that you rent out is different but it’s not an amazing investment either.

Imo… Home ownership is totally overrated and in todays world overly burdensome.
The ability to move freely with your capital and live anywhere is far more appealing. Couldn’t imagine anything worse than being tied to a 25/30 year mortgage which required a large % of my liquid capital.
Buying a property later in life is more logical when those down payments make up less than 5% of your liquid net-worth rather than 95%.

Gm! It’s a great day to have a dream.
One morning you’re going to wake up and a large country is going to have adopted #Bitcoin. Suddenly you will try and acquire it but there will be nearly nothing available until price reaches a point where holders see value… but that afternoon other countries who are friends with that large country announce they have been stacking as well. Now the price is reaching escape velocity and you realise that your TA was useless and trying to time your purchases was pointless while Bitcoin was sitting chilling at $25k.
Wen happens…? who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️. But the moral of the story is…
To just stack sats and stay humble ⚡️👊🏼
