I actually enjoyed that movie, a little bit. Got some good chuckles out of the tropes, especially 'im a useless man', 'suicidal Tesla cars', and 'gang stalking deer'. Decent camera work and production. But it didn't go anywhere, the ending was shit. It kept me watching tho, and that's more than I can say about most of the new ones. Just seemed like a backstory to something that might have been interesting, but we'll never see. Maybe a Cell prequel?

If we're talking new films, I'd estimate an avg of 4 per year for me. I usually watch those over the winter when it's cold, work slows down, and the property doesn't need constant maintenance. Most of them are a waste of time and only remind me of why I don't really care about keeping up with new movies and shows.

Yeah it looks weird, and generally, added complexity makes things more problematic. I'd say the same thing about some of the valve timing and lift systems, but they seem to be pretty solid. The Honda's I've had with VTec never had problems from their added complexity.
I'd like to try one out. I like how Nissan engine run anyway. I'm sure variable top and bottom with turbo would have to be a good running engine.

Didn't really call it here, but I get the impression this was a counter culture genre that sprang from overproduction and commercialization of classic rock, and layer, disco and 70s pop. Running parallel to the punk genre that was happening in the same era. Eventually they all ended up merging in mid 80s thru early 90s

Yeah, I tend to agree, for the most part. If nothing else, an organic act gets big, and they come behind them signing a bunch of similar bands.
At least they used to actually be a band tho. Nowadays the musicians are often individuals, and there are rampant claims that many are "industry plants" where the labels literally craft a persona and push into the market. A lot easier to make a plant when it's just a single individual.

I think the problem is what people are listening on, and engineers mixing for those devices, trying to compensate for degradation at each stage.
Listeners are sourcing from some compressed format. Barring a few outliers, the devices have poor signal processing, and/or send it out over Bluetooth. The monitor is some small portable speaker, if not the device speaker.

IMO, modern music production focuses too much on compression and high gain. Everything's loud. The spectrum is packed.
Think about how, say, Dark Side Of The Moon, has tracks where part is almost inaudible, but builds to a crescendo. Modern music hits the limiter right away, and tends to stay there thru the entire track.

Well, since lasers are really pretty old, at least on small scale, its no surprise they have better stuff in the pipeline
Is it correct to say that this new system is able to create physical matter from electromagnetics, or essentially out of nothing, then propel the matter at an object, like a rail gun would do with a prefabbed slug?
Its so far out from anything typical, and the jargons so technical, it's hard to comprehend or fathom exactly what they mean in the patents
