Dividends first are double taxed to the shareholder. First, the company pays tax when the dividend is distributed, and then once the share holder receives the funds, they are taxed on the dividend income. Next, the company is reducing its future agility to weather adversity. Once that “potential energy” is sent out the door, it’s gone forever and the company needs to either borrow or retain more earnings in the future to posses this “potential energy”.

I think some people are just pessimists at their core. Bitcoin is for optimistic truth seekers. If you think the world is going to hell and a hand basket and there’s no way a solution could ever solve that…well then it’ll be impossible to SEE bitcoin.

When I see a intellectual people NOT understand Bitcoin, what is often preventing them from “getting it”, is a deeply held, core belief that the world is spiraling out of control and can’t get better. Because of this pessimistic conviction, it’s almost like it’s impossible for them to wrap their head around it. It’s a very strange yet persistent theme.

I think his Bitcoin only (personally owned) position size is drastically undersized. I have a very big concern for a 6102 style attack on MSTR, therefore the Kelly criterion math tells me a 5% or 10% position size should be the max based on the risk assumed for potential out performance. This math would be the same whether it’s me or Michael. So I would imagine it’s likely because of that. Now he will never get his position size down to those levels, but it’s the idea of balance that risk out of his overall portfolio positioning.

BTW, @npub1a2c…w83a’s book is my favorite read of the year if you haven’t noticed by now. If you’ve read it, or once you’re done, help her out, but more importantly help spread the Bitcoin message by countering idiots like this guy (review below). I think her book has the potential to reach a very broad audience and in a way that destroys many financial mantras since Bretton Woods.

So I've been doing the 4 things that @AustinHerbert recommends and it’s kind of insane how well it works.
-10k steps per day
-Eat only whole Foods
-Eat in a strict 8 hour window

Bitcoin doesn’t need “help” from other protocols and projects. Bitcoin needs central bankers to keep going out and adding another 10 trillion units into the system and then handing it out to people for performing no work.
