I'm reaching the stage of accepting that nothing matters in the face of societal and environmental collapse. Even though my emotions are mostly all pain now, and I can't stand it. I can put things into words. I just can't see the point.

I'm not sure if it's kicked in yet (or even if it will; it's tech after all...) but, as I promised a while ago, I have now implemented the steps needed to block all 2000+ #Instances (servers) that deal with #Meta / #Threads.
So if I suddenly vanish from your followers/followees lists it's not you, it's your #Instance.
This isn't in any way personal, except to those in control of any instance who don't have a problem with the predatory nature of corporate social media.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 I was told by another canal person - a few years ago, true - that lots of the old ones were unnavigable through decades of neglect and others had simple filled in. It would be interesting to see a full canal map including those not in use, as it were, but I doubt such a thing even exists in the UK.
Moving non-perishables by inland waterways dedicated to supply would be such a boon to the environment.

And the person waiting for their delivery.
They have a rep as being shite in many urban areas.

Don't know if that's changed but I refuse to use them because of their championing (front window displays; promotion) of dreadful TERF books and so forth. Selling these abominations is one thing, as part of a comprehensive stock, but promoting them is quite another.

Whilst not being aware of 'yogh' itself I was always aware that the lower case handwritten zed (looking like your character here) can be mistaken for a lower case gee. In many a scribbled signature - especially in 19th C US - the name Menzies finding its way back to Mingus through a linguistic backdoor as it were.
As a kid I always called the stationers Menzies 'Mingus,' having been schooled at a young age on the correct pronunciation.
