The SEC finally approves Bitcoin spot and futures ETF.
The general public think it's a great thing for the Bitcoin Fiat price, headlines :
"Institutional money is coming to Bitcoin."
"Bitcoin now regarded as a mature investment."
"Billions to pour in BTC ETFs, heralding a huge price pump."
Most ETF providers are not using proof of reserves (trivial to set up), and use the same Custodian (ShitCoinbase).
The Bitcoin Fiat price ranges inside the same bands for years ; no more parabolic move happen, and overall the Bitcoin fiat price increases slowly year over year due to a slow but steady trickle of money coming into the BTC ETFs, for "diversification."
Bitcoin fades from the news as nothing "noteworthy" for the general public happens, while in the background the protocol keeps churning blocks every 10 minutes.
ETF providers and Custodians keep raking fees.
MSTR becomes just another company, and is mostly just providing Bitcoin-Backed loans for interests, which produces about as much cashflow/satsflow than their original IT business.
Most hodlers keep DCAing in the background, trying to buy real, self-custodied Bitcoin, which becomes increasingly difficult due to always harsher regulations pushing people to buy only paper (ETF) Bitcoin.
Some hodlers loose hope when the halving pump cycles do not happen anymore, and sell their stacks, and forget about it.
15 years from now, the fiat financial system finally collapses under quadrillions of debt, and hyperinflation.
The public discovers that most ETF providers, with the complicity of their custodian, were running a fractional reserve system, and a lot of people and company get rekt when they discover the only thing they'll ever recover from their ETFs were dollars, which are now worthless.
Most of the ETF providers' leaders and custodians are either put in jail, try to flee abroad under fake identities, or commit suicide.
A few people, companies, and countries emerges unscathed from the mayhem, as they were running their own nodes, custodying their own bitcoin, and kept stacking despite the bitcoin fiat price flatness.
The wealthiest people, companies and countries, along with newly revolutionary leaders whom seized power post collapse eventually meet in San Salvador in 2042, under the patronage of Nayib the 1st, Emperor of Central America, in order to discuss a new monetary order, where countries would now peg their currency to Bitcoin.

It’s a been of the same story here, having been very active in my youth, then slacked too much (sedentary work + all sports replaced by video-games), and now I’ve been as active as ever.
So after my youth, when I started working, I went through ~10 years of low to no physical activities, which obviously wasn’t good for my health.
So I’ve decided to have a baseline of doing physical activity again (about 10 hours per week, mostly cardio sports like soccer) + going 95% vegan after having read The China Study, which led to a big weight loss and no visible health issues.
Then I got bored with running and our soccer mates also lost interest, so I picked up CrossFit 5 years ago, doing about 4 hours a week, and ramped up to 6 hours per week over time.
I was in the best shape of my life overall, and then Covid hit, which put a big damper on exercising, but I managed to train at home or outside at night like an outlaw. I also picked up intermittent fasting, and swapped from Vegan to a full-on 90% meat based diet, which led to a noticeable mass increase, again with no health issues (so far).
I’ve dropped intermittent fasting after 1000 days because as I’ve kept ramping up exercising (so, more mass increase, I saw I had low energy levels in some on my workouts compared to my mates, and because I had increased my training time to about 10h again per week.
Now I’m loading up in the morning with eggs and bacon, or fruits and honey if I’m exercising very early. I notice that carbs that you take in the right quantity at the right time (about 1h) before working out have a big difference on your energy level during your workouts.
And this year I’ve picked up weightlifting because I much prefer lifting heavy stuff than doing gym work, along with CrossFit which I’ve toned down a bit.
I think we are about the same age, and what changed over time for me was realizing my body wasn’t going to get younger by itself, and that I needed to keep it in the best shape possible if I wanted to have the best life possible, both physically and mentally.
Now I plan my days where I always put a baseline of allocated time for the following, in that order :
Family time (spend time with kids and wife), physical workout, mental workout (learning Spanish at the moment), and then the rest of my day is spent either working, reading, spending time with friends… depending on whatever is most urgent.
In the end, I think that the more you plan ahead and arrange your priorities, and the more you can get into the same routines/flow daily helps you manage life without feeling mentally overcrowded. I don’t think daily about what I’ll need to do because I plans my days to not having to think about what to do, which leaves me the most mind space available to be present with the people around me and just focus on the things I do one at a time.

I've listened to the full podcast, and the two mains points I got from it are :
-Saylor is all about a "soft deleveraging" (paraphrasing Ray Dalio), and think we'll go from a FIAT standard to a FIAT+BTC Standard progressively, but that not much will change in the economy. He thinks BTC will basically start to underpin FIAT and become part of the base layer of money, which is currently the bond market.
It's highly debatable that a soft deleveraging can be achieved at this level of worldwide debt, and part of me thinks Saylor is playing the statist card to not have his assets seized in the eventuality the US becomes a communist government and starts confiscating assets of "dissidents capitalists."
It's guesswork, so he might really believe it, but I personally thinks he has to play it safe with the state, otherwise he might come under fire from his shareholders/lenders...
-Saylor thinks capital that doesn't produce yield is useless, so Bitcoin would have to produce a yield to keep enticing banks, institutions, states and even people to hold it.
That's a wrong take in my opinion because as Saif rightly stated several times, you can't guarantee a yield without a lender of last resort that can print infinite money, and especially not a 5% yield.
If a 5% Bitcoin yield would somehow exist, my guess is that it would either involve paper bitcoin (Fractional reserve banking) so it would eventually collapse ; or if it was done in a Full-reserve banking kind of way, it would be arbitraged close to 0% very quickly by the big capital allocators.
In the future, I believe banks and lenders will still exists, however they'll be much smaller in size and in scope. There will be many more smaller regional/national and independent banks, which will mostly be about keeping custody of people's bitcoin with full-reserve banking, and facilitate their life for the time that fiat and bitcoin will coexist (could be for decades, even a century or two). They would also offer local investments opportunities which would return very low yields over short periods of time (months, couple of years maximum), but with very low risks because it would be for small scale, local projects with "known in the community" people (think your local farmers needing a new tractor, your local entrepreneur creating a company...)
On the other hand, specialized lenders/big national/international banks would focus on national/international companies and states, and offer lending opportunities with higher yields and equity in national or international ventures, with much bigger scope (Think the next SpaceX, the next OpenAI, even state-sponsored projects, etc...), but with also much bigger risks and time horizon. These projects would probably be offered only to professional capital allocators
Most of the everyday people would not care about getting a big yield on their Bitcoin, because due to technological improvements of the means of production over time, their purchasing power would either stay flat, or even keep increasing over time when the next big successful ventures would bear fruit. (Mass-produced factory robot workers, AI Agents replacing repetitive and boring jobs, Real full self driving cars, Nuclear Fusion...)
That in itself would be their "yield", and everyday people would focus on what matters in their everyday life : Family, Health, Work, Relationships, Community Projects... Without needing to spend time and energy fighting endless inflation due to endless money-printing, they would do a much better work at these activities too, and end up living longer, healthier and fulfilling lives...
That last points also highlights why lending is good and needed in the economy, and will surely keep existing for ever. Humanity will always birth a next Leonardo Da Vinci, a next Nikola Tesla, a next Thomas Edison, a next Steve Jobs, a next Elon Musk... And most of them might not come from a wealthy family, so they'll need capital from other people whom accumulated it over the course of their lives to unleash their creativity, fulfill their destinies, and hopefully keep pushing humanity toward a brighter future.
These future capital allocator will be probably very smart since they would have managed to accumulate capital in a fixed-money supply world, which means they produced a lot more things than they consumed.
And these future capital allocators might reach a point in their lives where they realize they'll be more efficient allocating ressources than grinding in a factory or a lab 24/7, thus allowing the cycle to continue.

I believe one of the main cause for unhappiness is thinking the "magic pill" actually exists.
Imagining life simply as "If this ONE thing happens, then all my problems will go away."
But there is no magic pill, and that ONE thing eventually happening will either fix one of your problem for a very long time, or make all your problems go away for a very short time ; not both.
Just as piling enough small bricks together creates a big house, taking enough small decisions leading to 0.1% improvements eventually makes you ending up where you want to be.

The recurring theme in the replies is “The content is here, you just have to put in the work and actually dig for it.”
I mean, if you ask users what issues they have with nostr, and the answer to these issues is “try harder”, that’s totally fine, but it’ll very hard to reach any kind of mass adoption this way.
(And still, outside of Bitcoin and a couple of hashtags, even if you dig the content is still very shallow compared to what we can find elsewhere.)
It’s not a blame on anybody, just my 2 sats after using nostr for about 1.5 year.
That is also what’s part of the magic of nostr : a tight knit community where interactions are still mostly warm and friendly… just like most of the medium/places that just got created and haven’t taken off, yet.
You can keep nostr hardcore, and try to hold onto this cozy feeling for as long as possible… and that’s fine, but then don’t try to improve it too much …
Because if nostr starts to get too good, it might get mass adopted, and nostr will start resembling any other cesspool that the big social networks have become. (All about engagement farming through manipulating people emotions, mostly through bad feelings)
Personally, I’d love to have all the content I can read on twitter and elsewhere on nostr, and be able to find it easily… Ideally, being able to read and interact with other network from my favorite nostr clients would be ideal.

Yup. That’s me whom stopped reading about financial news a while ago (I kept your paid newsletter for a while even though I wasn’t reading it anymore).
The macro stuff is so boring. 99.9999% of macro events have zero influence on my life.
I’m just here, looking at the big picture every couple of months or so, checking about the state of the financial markets, and I’m like : “So the fiat ponzi amplifier is still up and running? Ok. I’ll continue DCA into BTC and check back in a few months.”
Even the non financial news have no meaning anymore. An ex-president and arguably leading presidential candidate in the US escaped assassination only due to sheer luck or fate. The assassination attempt was so egregious that about half of the USSS should have been investigated and probably fired. Yet NOTHING meaningful came out of it, nor will come out of it.
So I just look out for my family. I look out for my friends. I try to improve my life and body. I try to do the best, most meaningful work possible, and just wait for the next turning. The rest does not matter.

Everyone is born with a set of genes (traits such as intellectual, spiritual, physical...) and a set of circumstances (parents, birthplace, time...) that will heavily influence their outcomes.
In short, Life isn't fair nor equitable, and never has been.
Bitcoin doesn't claim to be perfect, nor does it aim to fix all the problems in the world.
However, human societies have risen mainly through production, commerce and communication, and all societies (so far) have fallen when one or several of these actions have stopped working.
Money is the underlying medium used by humans since the dawn of time, before languages, religion, nations and politics. It is the universal language, thus it underpins production, commerce and communication.
Money is utterly broken today, because it is printed by a few for their own benefits, at the expense of the many.
And that's why today everything is breaking down at an alarming rate, and the wealth gap between the many "poors" and the few "richs" is getting wider, because however long and hard the many will work, their purchasing power can't keep up with the pace of the money printing by the few.
Bitcoin would fix most of the world problems by removing the ability to print money, thus reducing the purchasing power gap between the many "poors" and the few "richs", and allowing people to benefit of the technological improvement of the means of production to live in deflationary societies again.
It still wouldn't make Life perfect and equitable, but it would make Life much fairer and much more equitable by an order of magnitude for the vast majority of people in the world.

I find it hard to lift heavy deadlifts everyday. Personally I have a better time with DLs (power, posture, stamina) if I do them every 2 or 3 days.

You could also look for short terms contracts / part time jobs in any field you’re an expert or good at, but that are not necessary Bitcoin stuff, until you find a better option (or convert your future employers to Bitcoin)

No one wants to deal with the US anti-freedom agencies.
WoS made the right decision, so did Acinq. More and more companies will decide it’s better business to stop dealing with this BS altogether rather than have a permanent threat to be illegally sanctioned or arrested by a rogue state.
It was necessary, and it’ll become a trend.
Unless the constitution and the people rights are being respected again, only the serf companies bending to every whim of a corrupt government will remain in the USA.
