Going to a greenhouse specializing in indoor plants today.
The smell and humidity always remind me of my grandparents, who owned a greenhouse when I was young. But also the plants themselves, which unlike styles and trends, look mostly the same now as they did in the 70's and 80's. There's some new stuff mixed in, but Pothos, spider plants, snake plant, aloe, etc... these are what my grandparents dealt in.
Modern ones don't have the mechanical till with pop-up metal number flags, though.

Today I had BBQ by Big Swerve, and along with my leftovers (tomorrow's lunch), I have a piece of sweet potato pie... tonight's bedtime snack.
I'm a Kansan, and New Jersey knows about as much about BBQ as it does salsa ("Get a rope.") I'm very glad for Swerve... he knows how to make good 'que. Even brisket, which is what I grade pitmasters on. And he's just five minutes from the house.

The more I study drains and venting, the more I realize the kitchen/utility room drain segment very much does not meet code. Individual drains do not have vents, the secondary vent stack is too far down the pipe and connects feet below the traps, so it doesn't act as a proper vent for these drains.

@npub1sfl…gczt As much as I like how tile looks, I've come to dislike it in my kitchen... it's so unforgiving when you drop glass on it. And dropping cast iron does it no favors. 😆
I keep an anti-fatigue mat in front of the fridge because of how many jars have landed on the tile and spread tomato sauce, pickles, etc mixed with shards of glass.

We did it primarily to eliminate table napkins, but our paper towel use has been reduced drastically as well... mostly bacon and certain kinds of cleaning. (And thinking about that, I'm going to switch to shop towels for the cleaning.)
Unbleached cotton isn't as pretty as Marley's, though, but they're also cheaper. Dang, the price has gone from $26 to $35 for 20 in the last year. But they still pay for themselves.

When we bought our home, the seller included a 12-mo appliance warranty service. That renewal came around and it's $633 a year! And that's just the basic plan that doesn't cover refrigerator or AC (just furnace). Who has $600 worth of appliance failures a year?
You'd be better off putting $50 a month in savings.
(We used it once. The AC (covered by premium warranty) didn't work when summer came. They didn't cover it because we hadn't proven it worked before the warranty started.)
