Going to a greenhouse specializing in indoor plants today.
The smell and humidity always remind me of my grandparents, who owned a greenhouse when I was young. But also the plants themselves, which unlike styles and trends, look mostly the same now as they did in the 70's and 80's. There's some new stuff mixed in, but Pothos, spider plants, snake plant, aloe, etc... these are what my grandparents dealt in.
Modern ones don't have the mechanical till with pop-up metal number flags, though.
