So we've seen how they do this. It was on most glaring display with the drumbeat to hound Biden out of the race. Everyday they unleash their staff of reporters to contribute a variety of pieces all with a common theme. In this case, it is how 'race is a problem for Harris.' It will come in many forms and variations, but the overall effect will be to inflame racism and amplify Trump's campaign tactic of stoking racial division. Plain and simple, it's racist.

Take the recent racist comments for example. Trump is used to the media hanging on his every word, and we did see the Washington Post chase him down that rabbit hole. But Harris was able to dismiss Trump as just being weird old racist Donald. 'Weird' gives people license to call the clown a clown and dismiss his nonsense. Plus it really pisses him off when people don't take him seriously. It defangs him and pisses him off. It's perfect.

Maybe Harris can bring some back from the brink of extinction.
Was also wrecked by the speech. So much is at stake and he laid it out so clearly. We are in a struggle for the future of the nation and the world. Something he has dedicated his life toward. He has now realized he carried the baton as far as he could, and is passing it on with both hopes and fears for the future. It was an amazing historical moment.

It is very impressive watching her tailor her speech to the audience and not just repeat the same stump speech. Truly an excellent speech and well worth 15 minutes to watch it!

Just got off the line with both millennial daughters who last week were completely checked out on politics even considering the stakes of this election. Both gave hundreds to Kamala Harris yesterday, and are looking for ways to get involved in the campaign. They were energized and in tears with hope for the future. What had seemed to them like an inevitable descent into a dystopian fascism is now a fight for a better more democratic future. The change in attitude impossible to overstate.

It's dizzying. Yesterday Biden was supposedly getting out, and today he's supposedly back in. Understand that we are getting a lot of conflicting media disinformation from bogus second and third hand reports. The problem for those trying to get Biden to withdraw is that the entire premise since the disastrous debate has been that he is experiencing a serious rapid cognitive decline. It now appears that while he is awkward (he has always been awkward), his cognitive function has not fallen off a cliff. So, seems like SpaceX had a "catastrophic failure" (aka explosion) yesterday leaving 20 of it's little monster Starlink satellites in too low an orbit, and destined to fall back into the atmosphere and (hopefully) burn up. For, now the FAA has grounded SpaceX, but they will probably fly again soon. Next month billionaire spaceman Jared Isaacman is expected to fly the rocket up for the first private "spacewalk" in history.

- Apparently without checking his facts, NYT Peter Baker publishes a BS story implying Biden has Parkinson's.
- The media goes crazy.
- Biden's doctor releases a letter debunking Baker's BS.

Ok, Biden had a bad debate, but let's talk about a much much bigger problem.
The media seems to have decided that it is ok to be a shameless, obvious and deliberate liar in order to win a debate.
This is the same thing as referees determining that obvious, deliberate cheating is ok to win a game.
Sporting contests don't work if the refs permit cheating, and democratic politics doesn't work if the media permits rank dishonesty.
The media is failing our democracy.
