My mind is blown. Someone has created a website where you can watch TV from bygone days—TV from the 1950s to 2000s. Each decade has a different screen with unique controls. The '50s and '70s (my favorite decade) are the most developed, with material organized by year.

Well, Christmas was crap for me this year. A few days after I returned to the homestead in Wisconsin, my mother had a medical emergency and landed in the hospital. Instead of Christmas shopping and holiday merriment, we were talking to doctors and trying to get mom healthy. Just as things were improving (mom out of hospital & doing ok), my sister, with whom I was staying, tested positive for covid. To lower my risk of catching it, I hightailed it out of Wisconsin and returned to Brooklyn early.

Happy Caturday from Penny! This morning, she enjoyed a brushing and some special treats. She acts like she doesn't care about me, but I know she really likes me. The purring gives her away.

I am on cat duty for the next week, taking care of my friend's sweet dilute calico. Dilute calicos are rare (1 in 1,000). They are known for their sass and spunk. My feline pal Penny is indeed sassy and spunky. We had fun playing with the Trader Joe's bag in the background of the photo. She hid in it, and I poked my finger throw a hole in the side. I almost lost my finger a few times.

Last night at my gig job at Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA), I learned an interesting tidbit about Ethan Hawke (who came to TFANA last night with his wife Ryan). Hawke is a distant relative of Tennessee Williams. The current production at TFANA is Tennessee Williams's "Orpheus Descending."

I had a lot of potatoes, carrots, and onions in my last #CSA, so I decided to make a pot roast. It turned out fabulous. I followed a recipe from Garden in the Kitchen (https://gardeninthekitchen.com/classic-pot-roast) and used Sancerre Rouge wine for the base. Perfection!

This is my favorite tree in Brooklyn. It is covered with a climbing vine. To me, the tree looks like it is going to come alive and start walking. (I took the photo last summer.)
