Well, Christmas was crap for me this year. A few days after I returned to the homestead in Wisconsin, my mother had a medical emergency and landed in the hospital. Instead of Christmas shopping and holiday merriment, we were talking to doctors and trying to get mom healthy. Just as things were improving (mom out of hospital & doing ok), my sister, with whom I was staying, tested positive for covid. To lower my risk of catching it, I hightailed it out of Wisconsin and returned to Brooklyn early.
