When I first spun up my instance a year or two ago, it took about five seconds for actual cancer from some "Detroit Riot City" server to start showing up in my Federated feed from relays.
I loaded up the old "Fedinuke" list to block the worst of the worst after that. Anything more tends to block because "I disagree".
Since then, I just block when I see an actual problem. I've only added 4 or 5 servers to my list since then.

At the very least, make sure you have an updated motherboard BIOS and you're running it at "Intel Safe Voltage".

I've been pretty happy with this list. There are a fair number of words what really only show up when people are arguing / lecturing about hot-button political issues. I just nuke them all.
Unchecking the "whole word" checkbox is also good at knocking our variations on the same word (capitalist / capitalism / capitalistic / etc /etc).

PhotoPrism is another choice. Immich (at one point) woudl only let you add media through their web interface. But I usually copy stuff directly to folders on my NAS.
I think I heard that was recently remedied, though..

Doing some emulation housekeeping while I wait for my #SteamDeck to arrive.
Replacing all of the PAL 50Hz ROMs I had due to the weaker performance of my Retroid Pocket 3+ with the USA 60Hz ROMs.
And compressing all of my PSP .iso files into .chd.
Maybe I'll go "shopping" for more games, too.

I just have Mastodon (and my other stuff like Plex) running on an old surplus office PC running 24/7 in my basement. I bought the PC off eBay for about $100.
My T-Mobile 5G Home Internet blocks incoming port trafiic, so I run Mastodon through a free Cloudflare tunnel.
Since I'm the only user on this server (and don't follow a ton of accounts or hashtags) it handles just fine on my roughly 500/40Mbps connection.

I tried to do the "right thing" when I originally signed up at mas.to. A reliable-looking server, but not piling onto the *one* server everyone else is on.
Then they jumped on the "block everything" bandwagon with Threads (and probably BlueSky for all I know).
So I just rolled my eyes and fired up my own server. So far, I don't regret it.

(It's really good) Jellyfin is also pretty comparable to Plex these days.
I highly recommend Prowlarr instead of Jackett to run the -arrs. Just make sure you VPN up your torrenting software (which is probably a given these days).
Also, SabNZBD plus a cheap UseNet subscription (or just dropping ten bucks on a TB or two of data) is terrific.

I will note that the extend video function worked much like your attempt -- it didn't listen.
"The rhino sits on the ground and pouts" followed by "The rhino stops, faces the camera, stands on its rear legs, and then begins to play an electric guitar. Pyrotechnics ignite in the background" both just made the rhino walk.

I will say that the DualSense controller is really something special (re: the haptics & force feedback and all). And it tends not to play nice & give you access to all of its features (wirelessly, at least) with anything but a Playstation.
This basically gives you a DualSense while streaming, where it's not possible otherwise.
All of that said, I'm buying a Steam Deck instead. Because I can do more than stream just PlayStation.

Tusky & Trunks are the top-tier Android Mastodon apps, IMO. Neither support Sharkey, though.
Megalodon & Moshidon are a very close second, and mostly just because of cosmetic preference by me. And these both support Sharkey.
Android also has takesama which supports Sharkey/Misskey. While it's stylish, it's also missing basic stuff like a Settings menu and Notification support.

I dunno. I just looked at it for all of 45 seconds, and after that exhaustive research, I didn't see anything particularly egregious.
Because Fedi is federated, I'm not sure you could have one "official" person own the account. So you end up with a news/fan account like that, complete with personal opinions that everyone won't necessarily agree with.
See FediTips here on this platform as another example.

I actually did piles of side quests on my previous Skyrim attempts. Then came away feeling like I hadn't accomplished anything. Then I eventually finally did my mainline run-through.

I dunno.. I just want an *objective*. I have a list thousands of games long, and I want to check those games off my list.
If there's an actual narrative mission to the game outside of "number goes up", I might take a look.
When I saw credits rolls in Skyrim, I said: ✅ done. What's next. (Even though the game wants you to randomly keep doing random stuff after that point)

Turns out I actually have 70 meandering hours of Fallout 4 playtime from when I played it on PS4. Time to mainline that next.

Yep. Had to jump through some convoluted hoops to add the PS5 version to my library.
(copypaste of the instructions I gave elsewhere)
