Electric motor mounted in the former lawn mower. A pulley for a 19mm shaft is arriving in a few days, so it will have to be bored out to 20mm.

Motor bracket being made. The bearing shop in Launceston has a pulley for a 3/4 inch shaft, so I'm going to get that today, and someone will be able to easily machine it out to 20mm, hopefully.
The backup option is to get a taper lock pulley with a 20mm bore, but I would have to order it.

Got a QS165 motor with a FarDriver ND72450 controller for the electric (former) lawn mower conversion. Should be able to do 5kW at peak.
Seems to fit really well, almost perfectly - wish I could say that I planned that! Should have just enough room to squeeze batteries on top and in front of the motor.
Using a pedal for the throttle. Works well!
Need to order a pulley to fit the motor shaft now that I've measured it (20mm with 5mm keyway, and about 20mm of keyed shaft).

RJXZS BMS connected to Kona EV module. Ignore the label on the RJXZS main board. It says accepts 60V, but the display wouldn't turn on with 40V. It did with 12V.
I accidentally grabbed a module with a couple of blown fuses, thus the few weird numbers.
Next is to connect the CAN bus to an MCP2515, then to a LilyGo T-CAN485, which is running Battery Emulator.

I run UniFi Network Controller on an old Dell R710. Westmere architecture; one generation before Sandy Bridge. MongoDB by default adds "-march=sandybridge" as an optimisation. I've been using a Steam Deck as my main system for a few months. Running Jovian #NixOS https://jovian-experiments.github.io/Jovian-NixOS/
Steam Deck OLED has open firmware, Torx screws, better fan, and wifi 6E. Perfect improvements on my few criticisms.
