Australian folks may be aware that the Cumberland Council (Sydney, NSW) has recently banned books featuring same-sex parents from its public (government funded) libraries. If this is something that makes your blood boil, please sign and share this petition, which Equality Australia will attempt to present at the next council meeting. I do appreciate that with everything that is going on in the world, this may not seem like much, but bigotry flourishes when our attention is elsewhere:

@npub19fc…ay3c Of consciousness, probably. Of existence, no. I think physically we go on, in another form - stardust, compost, whatever, and our energy, including consciousness, dissipates back into the universe. Maybe there’s awareness, in the way trees and stones are aware, but not in the way I am now. It might take some time for that to happen, so the human energy sticks around in a cohesive way for a short time.
