I am not super radical on this, as some people definitely report being able to save a lot of money and get rich off of a marriage.
But, 80% of the time, the statistical truth is: marriage is very counterproductive to wealth
50% divorce rate, guy loses half his money if not more
Beyond that — it’s just as common to stay married and get volunteered into yearly Disney world, daily eating out, etc. Lifestyle creep.
At the very least, get wealthy before then. Compound interest.

That said, he is also kind of based. I 80% ageee with him on no debt. He’d have probably told me not to get a mortgage. Instead I got one with plan for rapid repayment. The rich dad poor dad guy would say: get five mortgages and live out of a van.

I wouldn’t draw the line as low as 300, though perhaps the number we are really talking about is number of engineers, not number of employees. If you are one of only a few software engineers at a non software company for example, you will make an impact.

Earlier this month, I was under contract for a house. I was informed I was getting laid off. Like Colonel Tigh in the BSG mini series I made a hard choice and vented the airlocks. I exercised my put option to exit the deal.
Three weeks pass.
Today, I signed a job contract with an impressive ass company and went under contract for the same house again. Same deal terms. It was still on the market.
