Sure, I'd like to see that commission. But I don't think it's a high priority. The damage from 2020 is already done. Congress already certified a fraudulent election, and gave Biden's autopen four years to institute runaway inflation, high taxes, woke policies, unchecked illegal immigration, and to sissify the military. All of this has done immeasurable harm to the American economy, culture, and security, which won't be undone simply by proving it shouldn't have happened.
I'm far more interested in preventing it from happening again. But even then, national Democrats are fighting with every fiber of political capital they have remaining to prevent any possibility of a secure election. Because they know they can't win one.

I haven't come across one that enumerates exactly what that money was earmarked for, but the word "grants" suggested to me that the lion's share was gifted, and not under contract. *shrug*
I'm with you that governments also shouldn't be using threats of withholding money to coerce people (though I think that ship sailed more than a century ago). Trump shouldn't threaten to shut off the spigot of free money unless they do what he says. He should just shut it off. And remove the valve. I'm of the opinion that the federal government shouldn't be handing out free money anywhere, and shouldn't be entering these contracts.
If you think about it from the other side, it's absolutely insane to enter a "longstanding business contract" with an organization that produces nothing, has no incentive to uphold contracts, employs violence to get whatever it wants, and changes leadership every four years.
Yes, ending a payout is disruptive for the people who have grown accustomed to free taxpayer money. But my sympathy is limited, because it's MY money.

You could completely overhaul plurality voting with one simple rule: Put “None of the Above” as a valid choice on the ballot. If None wins the most votes, the position goes unfilled, and whatever job it’s for simply doesn’t get done.
Imagine, a candidate having to convince you that he’s a net positive for the position - that he’s better than nothing; not just better than “the other guy”.
You’d immediately start to see a lot more positive campaigning (as opposed to the pure negative campaigns we’ve become accustomed to). And after a few elections, you’d get a pretty good picture which positions the public would be okay with cutting entirely.
(Bonus: If “None” wins three elections in a row, the office is automatically dissolved)

What is your definition of "wealthiest"? For that matter, how do you define "success"? A high number of millionaires and billionaires? I'm sure that works out great, if you happen to be one of them, and can afford, for example, private security in your gated community.
Meanwhile there are millions upon millions of middle class struggling to afford their taxes, poor people struggling to get enough groceries, homeless people struggling to find a place to sleep for the night, and all of them struggling to just get by without becoming one of the unprecedented number of victims of violent and property crime that the police won't bother investigating because the woke city governments won't prosecute, because they're too strapped for cash paying for sex changes for male athletes and shipping their firefighting equipment off to Ukraine, resulting in a Mad-Max-esque lawless hellscape in the inner cities, and increasingly in the suburbs too.

The average voter is uninformed, and deliberately so. They do not want to think that hard. They just do what the m5m or their facebook or gab group tells them to. I have much higher standards for myself than that.
This particular post wasn't a criticism of "reg Dem voters". It was a description of how I vote and why I don't let the crowd dictate my choice. Insomuch as it is a criticism at all, it was a criticism of people who choose a candidate based on chance of winning rather than qualifications for office.

What I won’t do is support any party. My vote is not given away based on a candidate’s party declaration.

Even if you could somehow magically prevent corruption, a centrally planned economy is a bad economic decision because it ALWAYS results in a less efficient allocation of resources. And it is a bad moral decision because it is incompatible with individual choice (aka freedom).

In the long term, probably more than most people would expect, but a lot less than what the governments currently enjoy.
But getting to the long term would be painful for people accustomed to extensive government services and programs.
And the short-term impact would be used for substantial rhetorical gain by the people who worship government programs, and don't mind taxing their neighbors for it.

Voting systems can be engineered to require a lesser degree of trust (faith) in the people running it. Paper ballots, chain of custody, multiple observers, multiple counts from different stakeholders, and an auditable paper trail.
The systems that require maximal trust/faith from voters are the ones where you go into a booth and push a button, or where you put a piece of paper into an unattended mailbox. After that, counting is a completely black box, where at the end an official announces a winner, and voters have nothing more than that person's word that it was fair.
These systems are ripe for widespread corruption, because there's every incentive to favor the incumbent party, and it's almost impossible to detect or prove.

Decades ago, I made the decision that I will never willingly subject myself to advertisements. Among other things, this means that I avoid any entertainment that injects ads into the content.
At first, I was a bit freaked out about just how much content I was shutting myself off from. People around the watercooler "Hey, did you see that thing on TV last night?" Nope, sorry.
But in time, I have mostly defeated my FOMO. I learned I don't have to watch what everyone else watches. I don't have to spend 80% of my free time consuming corporate four-chord songs, or formulaic Hollywood plots, or get spun up by propaganda masquerading as news.
And each day the quality of Hollywood plots and corporate news drops to a new low, I completely fail to regret my decision.

Immigration is a positive force when immigrants are obliged to assimilate into their new host culture. This includes things like following the new cultural norms and leaving behind practices that are abhorrent to the host culture, while still bringing new ideas and perspectives. It also includes learning the local language, which is critical for assimilation.
This melding of new and old is what creates the good kind of diversity that makes a culture stronger through evolution. Like every evolutionary process, it is necessarily slow, as people take time to adjust to new norms.
Immigration without assimilation, on the other hand, creates enclaves of a foreign culture within the original. This is the bad kind of diversity. These incompatible cultures, in proximity with no geographic boundaries, lead to strife, crime, violence, and eventually cultural breakdown.
Importing too many immigrants in a short period of time - or worse, actively pandering to the foreign culture in these enclaves - removes the incentive to assimilate, virtually guaranteeing this result.

The trend of putting down astroturf instead of lawns boggles me, especially in the PNW, where it's almost impossible to kill grass.
It's ugly as hell, uncomfortable to walk or play on, and makes your whole yard look like a Fisher Price playset. The only upside is that it's supposed to be low-maintenance - you don't have to mow or weed it.
But of course, the PNW has other plans.

Democracy is the political expression of mob rule, in which the majority group can impose its will with impunity on minority groups.
Progressives - the people whose ideology is based on lifting up minorities above all others - are coincidentally also the ones who shout the loudest about "preserving our democracy". The cognitive dissonance from this is only possible to reconcile if you either lack the ability to think about it rationally, or you have no integrity to get in the way of your double-standard.
