Every software development shop should hire a conspiracy theorist to do security testing. They are detail oriented, meticulous, and skeptical. They see patterns and vulnerabilities that normal developers would never notice. And they are naturally distrustful of the things that normal people just take for granted.
If anybody could have predicted something like the Crowdstrike outage, it is them.
