Thinking out loud:
- On one side nostr can solve the fact that many of our legacy social media deliver more adverts cluttering our feed than the people we actually follow.
- it allows people to openly read anything on #nostr without being logged in which makes it more reachable than everything closed in the current siloed models.
- it invites you to stop being passive about what goes into your brain. The algo recommendations can be very helpful for discovery, but we need to design more agency into the way people interact online and nostr requires that effort from you. (And down the line enough, you’ll be able to choose what preferences you have).
- also something that could be very powerful is to be able to design what your own feeds look like (to yourself anf to others) 🙃💜

In general it relays clearly why you think it can be valuable to go evangelize and network, and gives a good macro view of key aspects of #nostr (mostly its grassroots and decentralized powers).
Maybe adding a reason why nostr is important for current times can help people who know nothing about the protocol to understand the importance of having people go there to spread the work and the important conversations 🔥🤙

I enjoy both fantasy and sci-fi, and I always love to find in them the echoes from current reality that reverberate in those imagined fictional worlds; as kinds of mental simulations.
On the sci-fi side, kinda like Ursula K. Le Guin ’s The Dispossessed

I do try as i can to make up my own mind in the utilities and trade offs that i value most through the time spent in digging down the rabbit hole.
However, not being a technical person, i find myself having to trust others even when i do my own research 😅
I also had thought about immersing myself in more technical books like “Mastering Bitcoin”, but i think i heard @npub1e0z…0txy mention somewhere that some things hadn’t aged well.🙃
