(Accidently saved that last before completing thought.) Especially would have liked trying to do something with character and story. In my limited work with the game industry, I never got to do a first person game. Mostly spent my time adding story elements to strategy games (!).

It's fortunate that the mission succeeded, and shows the robustness of the core design, but solid rockets have always been iffy, and I'm very bothered that this will eventually be used for crewed spacecraft. Solid rockets+people always seems to me to be a safety mistake (Challenger, anyone?) I'll take a liquid system with an "off" switch over a solid motor any day.

I'll just point out that with this statement, Elon Musk has just admitted in public that he has for sure seen the movie he allegedly stole from, and guilty or not, his lawyers are bashing their heads in from frustration. It infuriates me that we're still pushing this bloated, obsolete, bungled shit-ton of pork slowly towards the launch pad using a giant bulldozer that burns money, while the best, and only reasonable, up-to-date and cost-effective launch systems on Earth are privately owned by a drug-addled space-nazi who is actively trying to overthrow democracy and turn women back into breed cows. The failure here isn't primarily NASA, it's in the corrupt US congress.

Very sad. I got into BBSs in Seattle not long after this, and met my future wife on one (we're still together, in what might be on of the oldest surviving online marriages in the country for all I know). BBSs pryed the door open for affordable individual phone modem use (against the Bell system's wishes) and kept it open until easy internet access mostly swept them away.

I loved my original Fitbits. They were life changing for me, and really helped me through some severe health setbacks. But then they got in financial trouble, and Google came along, and it's all been going slowly to hell, on both a hardware and software level. Sounds like it not over, and time to consider other options for my next watch.

I really like liverwurst, though I rarely eat it for dietary reasons. But I'm old, and I suspect the market for this stuff is aging out. Lots of once common products and dishes have all but vanished in my lifetime. Sometimes this is a good thing, but I worry that instead of eating healthier, things are trending towards more processed foods as a staple. Give it a couple of generations, and people may be eating nothing except "chicken" nuggets.

I'm guessing this would be a long solved problem but for "genius" Elon and his single-mindedness. Visual self-steering is unnecessary and over-complicated for this application. A "soft" track, perhaps in the form of a coded center-stripe, and some new code would fix this. But proving the imagined "perfection" of self-driving is more important to Musk. This is like his "no flame trench" debacle at Starbase all over again.

I stopped eating at Chuk-fool-a at least 20 years ago, when I became aware of their discrimination against LGBTQ+ people (before the term existed I think). I've got queer kids and family members, and I couldn't support that.
As for finding people to fill their streaming service, I hear there may be a lot of out-of-work Trump staff members soon. Seems like their belief systems should be compatible.

The rule seems to be, tile heat shields are HARD, and subject to endless fidgeting. And remember that a tile failure killed a space shuttle crew. 90% of the way on a heat-shield isn't enough, and nobody has really proven them as safe and routinely reliable. This remains a major challenge for SpaceX on their Starship as well.
