I did, and did you know that both WebP and AVIF are based on video compression methods? This completely flips the conventional perception that video is simply a sequence of images. Now, an image is essentially a single-frame video.

Hmm, you don't think Russia could completely destabilize Europe and effectively bring us back to 1997, as Putin demanded before invading Ukraine? If Ukraine falls, Russia will get their hands on most of Ukraine’s weapons and know-how, in addition to all the combat experience they've gained over these years of war.
And they don't need to invade every country directly. They're excellent at hybrid operations—first ruining the political climate and internal discourse, then showing up with "brotherly help." Just look at what's happening in Slovakia now.
Honestly, I don't expect anything from the EU; it’s systematically impotent and totally incapable of swift, decisive action. On the other hand, I do think some kind of coalition of the willing could step up. And if not? Well, then we're fucked, and the Iron Curtain will come down again.

1) There’s no mention of how many people actually earn the minimum wage. Is it 0.01% of the population or 25%?
2) Minimum wage isn’t the only possibility. For instance, Switzerland isn’t even mentioned—maybe because they don’t have a minimum wage? It would be more informative to look at something like the 5th or 10th percentile of incomes, or even the median wage for those brackets, to see how much work is really required to get out of poverty.
3) How is poverty defined? Is it absolute or relative poverty we’re talking about here? For example over here in Prague or really in any other big city, you wouldn’t be able to survive on the amount considered the poverty threshold in Czechia. Would that be the same in Japan, or is poverty defined differently there?

I finally forced myself to go over [Storej's white paper](https://www.storj.io/documents/storj-sustainability-whitepaper.pdf) to understand how they're achieving such a high level of availability using just consumer-grade hard drives scattered across people's living rooms. It all boils down to [Reed–Solomon erasure coding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed%E2%80%93Solomon_error_correction). You distribute 80 chunks, but in reality you only need 29 to reconstruct the complete data. It would be amazing to have the same or similar error correction implemented into Blossom.
I could see scenarios where I would happily offer 30GB of data storage on my blossom server to have 10GB of distributed, reliable and resilient data across multiple blossom servers.

If the country of origin is open and liberal enough to welcome its own people back after they've spent time abroad, then migration is always beneficial for all participants. Some will send capital back home, some will return with know-how, and some will bring back both.

I don't see it problematic for future AI training, not at all. And for us as people? You are talking about data as real and fake. What does it even mean? There was so much unreal data before AI ever went mainstream. For example in architecture randers are used for decades.
I really don't see a problem in the source of the data. If it is good, inspirational, sane, realistic, creative, pretty, etc. enough I'm going to use it and I really don't see a reason why I shouldn't. Just because it was generated by AI?

Why not? Our attention is separating good from bad pretty effectively. So I can really see the nonsense, garbage, hallucinations, badly generated images, and all of the other things that can potentially poison future models will be filtered out by humans.

For AI this is not going to be a problem. It is essentially a reinforced training. Only good pictures/content will end up getting attention so for future training this (human curated) content will be as good as any other user generated content.

But isn't he right? Indexing images is pretty intense job. You need to run a model, you need to make sure that the model is accurate enough, you need to constantly train it to recognize new things. If you have text on the image you need to OCR it, again with confidence. You need to implement translations to the search, etc... etc...
To the other hand for $55 you can have infrastructure to run your own media server and a relay giving you all the oversight over your own media.
It is about convenience, trust and control.
