Finally watched the HBO doc. I always concluded the same. My evidence was, having been a teacher for 15 years pre-bitcoin, the tone of Hal Finney to Satoshi comms were very much mentor to young person, ol'Todd always fit the profile. Young upstart smushing technologies together and annoying a bunch of grey beards.
I also loved the idea of Satoshi hiding in plain sight and travelling the globe trolling fuck out of bitcoiners.
Certainly my fav possible Satoshi (not that any of it matters).

The problem are the words used. "Socialism" includes a bunch of things where control is "socialised", including coops etc, far from what you hate.
It's like me saying I hate capitalism because surveillance capitalism sucks on twitter.
You hate State and centralised control. Good 👍, Plenty of socialists also hate those things (Marx himself included).

You got start9 setup, that's def step in right direction 🔥. You can give your friends user accounts. After they have got the accounts disable making new accounts in server. I would also use a regular user account for yourself, it's more secure. Using super user account install extensions and just play around. They're fun

When I was a small child I went to see a panto in Blackpool which stared the Chucklehounds (this is before chucklebrothers).
After the panto kids were allowed to go have a photo with Chucklehounds. .. I was a very small child (3-4), and thought they were real dogs. I went up on stage all excited to meet them.
One of the Chucklehounds picked me up, his hands like iron talons, and plonked me on his knee for a photo. The dog squeezed my little Ben arms so much I had bruises for a week. I was screaming in pain, tears streaming down my Ben cheeks. I looked up at the dogs face. Inside the dogs mouth I could see Barry Chuckles sweaty moustachio face smiling manicaly looking down at me.
I thought this was a lovely gentle dog off the tele! Now it was a violent child beating dog that had a human inside it.

Sadly, when you've been in and around bitcoin circles for long enough, and meet people in real life, you realise a bunch of industry leader types are legit sociopaths, and not great people. All the properties you like in ecash exist for liquid (apart from stealing funds).
The above tutorial is a literal example of easy swapping to LN, same is possible for onchain.
On your liquid points.
Fees going to functionaries is decentralised.
Liquids federation is one of the best that has ever existed, many millions went into this process (custom hw, geographically seperate - because that's what needs to happen for a federation to work).
Liquid is far less vulnerable to governments, its cryptographically has proof of reserves, ecash does not, so is producing currency - a crime govs hate above all others.
