Yea it doesn't matter. They would still have a record of you buying Bitcoin/Monero if you bought through a CEX. The argument would be that you have stronger plausible deniability with Monero by default after you withdraw it.
With Bitcoin if you say you lost your keys they can monitor the address to see if it moves later. If you coinjoined *before* that happens you might still be ok, but they could just monitor all addresses after the coinjoin. If they all move at some point after the coinjoin youre probably still be screwed since logically one of them had to be you (even if they might not know which ones). Not sure how feasible it would be to move that amount of Bitcoin through Lightning? (or if you would even want to have that much Bitcoin in what is essentially a hot wallet and less secure than on-chain)
You could instead say your keys were hacked, but could be tricky not linking it to your identity in the future for the average user.

Bitcoin adopting a MimbleWimble-like extension block, like Litecoin, would be a huge privacy upgrade for sure and remove a lot of historical data from the chain for whoever uses it. I almost never see Bitcoiners talk about it though much less push for it. I think they might be scared of the opaqueness it would bring on part of the supply. Not sure.

Lightning is pretty private if used correctly.
The argument, for me at least, is that because of how hard it is to use that way the vast majority are using custodial wallets like Wallet of Satoshi that can see everything they do (and any rogue employees, hackers, and governments that get acces to that centralized database). Similar privacy to a bank. Even non-custodial LSP wallets like Phoenix don't offer any better privacy (they admit this on their own website)
In comparison, for the average user (by definition most users), Moneros privacy is much easier to attain. Privacy from both counterparty and third parties. Not just one.

All DNMs are used for is to deposit or withdraw transactions. No one is using them as their personal wallets. If Lightning was on DNMs it would have the same issue.
If the reason DNMs are adopting something was because of Gresham's Law there would be much better(worse?) crypto to do that with than Monero.
It's the strong default privacy and relative ease of use vs the alternatives.

it CAN see IP address, last block synced, and potentially manipulate your decoys (reducing your sender privacy)
it CAN'T see amounts, receiver addresses, balances, and transaction history
If you don't run your own node there are practical things you can do to reduce/eliminate what little malicious nodes can see be using TOR/VPN + changing the remote nodes you use for every transaction or at least periodically switching them. But of course the best privacy is always to use your own node.
"potentially manipulate your decoys" part will soon be remedied and be one less thing it can see when Monero upgrades to FCMP

The only thing we have to compare is what is true right now and in the relatively near future.
With LSPs you're asking permission from a third party to transact, it's centralizing, and it also comes with privacy implications.
Miners also don't get any of those fees to secure the chain. And if everyone migrates to using lightning in the future who will be paying miners? Especially when the block reward goes away?

Idk where you figure that Monero killed itself. It's steadily going up on every metric as far as being used (especially places it actually matters AKA not permissioned white market transactions that defeats the entire point of Bitcoin).
1. Depends on the exploit. Some are harder to find than others. Trade-offs of privacy and transparency.
2. A hardcap means you'll be paying more fees (already true currently), especially in the future with more adoption, and hemorrhaging money the more you actually use Bitcoin as p2p electronic cash. It's a bad design for currency. Even lightning breaks when fees rise even modestly like we saw earlier this year. You can argue that it's better for SoV if you want, but a hardcap doesn't necessarily mean more valuable if you subscribe to subjective theory of value.

Sim, existem diferentes implementações de software de nós, mas na prática praticamente não são utilizadas (menos de 1% executa-as). Em teoria, o desenvolvimento é descentralizado, mas na prática o Bitcoin Core controla as propostas do BIP e tem uma grande influência juntamente com a Blockstream. Inflation bugs have nothing to do with privacy or scalability, but yes that will always be a problem with crypto in general. Although easier to detect Bitcoin is not inflation-bug proof as you know and once one is taken advantage of there is no good fix. FCMP will introduce L2s if that is your worry. And if technology continues getting better and rate of adoption is steady, as it has been, that problem may never happen.
Monero is the only one that protects your IP address by default if you run your own node via Dandelion
Even Monero with "catasrophic cryptographic bugs" (not sure what you're referring to) still offers better privacy than Bitcoin with no bugs or current state of Lightning how the vast majority of users are using it. But yes I agree everything has trade-offs

Something can't be money without being fungible to at least some degree. There is no such thing as non-fungible money. Fungibility is a pre-requisite. Ideal money would be perfectly fungible.
I think you're confusing a medium of exchange with money. Money implies it's a MoE, but an MoE is not necessarily money.
Agree with the last part, but I've never heard "verifiability" as being required in the classic definition of money, although that makes sense to me (recognizeable maybe?)

Fungibility has always been a property of money. A quick search would show you this. It does matters for crypto because it's a public ledger. You can say all you want that it doesn't matter but there are countless examples of tainted Bitcoin affecting users and it's price. A simple example is ordinals. That was only possible because of Bitcoins transparency.

Ideal fungibility would mean any unit is indistinguishable from another. Bitcoin has unique transaction histories making it's fungibility worse than Monero.
They can be priced differently based on that. They already are with freshly mined Bitcoin and "tainted" histories.
Dollars are more fungible because it's full history of ownership and transactions aren't visible despite being serialized.
Gold can be serialized, but can be melted back down.
In the crypto world through ZKPs
You can argue the importance of fungibility vs the other qualities of money, but an ideal money would be perfectly fungible and have all the other properties you listed.

What is contradictory is the common claim that a fixed supply is *necessarily* more valuable when value is subjective. That's often a point Bitcoin maxis always try to make to dismiss anything without fixed supply.
If no one demands even a fixed supply, then it is worthless. A fixed supply *alone* means nothing.

Monero is scarce. It's limited in supply at any moment AND under demand.

If you're the economics guy please leave the Monero talk to me because you clearly have zero clue. A standard ring size is now enforced by the protocol and has been for a very long time. There are no 0-mixin transactions. And all this long defunct criticism only ever applied to sender privacy.

Monero is scarce it just doesn't have a fixed supply. Economic scarcity implies only that it is not available in limitless supply and is in demand.
