I suppose it's silly to have my username be truth and then spew nothing by opinions. Think "truth" as short for subjective truth, not objective truth. Though in my defense I feel like I'm pretty objective (I at least try to be)
Oh and maybe I'll write about other sort of taboo topics like porn, specifically how porn is very detrimental to society. Like all things, I think it's fine in moderation, but its immediacy and constancy of access presents a very slippery slope that I think a lot of men, especially young men whose minds are still developing, slip and fall into more than they'd probably admit. Whether it rises to the level of an addiction or not is beside the point. Horniness and boredom are similar feelings that are both extremely important human evolutionary adaptations. With both, you feel that uncomfortable pressure build up. What it's designed to do is drive you to action: horniness makes you so miserable not talking to girls that you go do so; boredom makes you so miserable that you find SOMETHING to do, which is a way that human productivity continues to expand. Think of how many revolutions of civilization probably came from someone being really bored. Think of how many otherwise meek men didn't know what to do with themselves but talk to a girl they'd been afraid to talk to a week ago after having nothing to do but think about her for a week. Now there's a short circuit option to both of these core human drivers. If you feel even five seconds' worth of boredom and/or horniness, you can be watching an incredibly gorgeous girl getting fucked. (Gingivitis. Snap out of it. Said something random to try to disengage any kind of psy op trigger for anyone who should remember "It is the nature of the wise to resist pleasures, but the foolish to be a slave to them" -Epictetus.) That instant gratification at our finger tips is not an paradigm in which our brains evolved. Life's problems aren't actually solved by hunching over a handheld rectangle screen. Think about what you look like from the third person--what you'd look like in a shot of a TV show. Just staring down. For hours. For some of you, every day. Probably almost all of you, but perhaps I'm worse than I think. I suppose it's hypocritical to emphasize the importance of separating from a screen on a screen, but it is important nonetheless. I wish they made a better dumbphone to be honest.

My idea here is to mainly talk about Israel-Palestine. I'm going to attempt to simply state my honest and sincere opinions about it. I think I'm relatively well-researched, but I'm sure some people would strongly disagree with that; it is uncontested that I'm not as well-researched as some. I'm going to try to be sensitive to both sides' feelings and news sources/opinions. And I'm also going to do a post analyzing an official definition of antisemitism to try to explain my reasoning for why it's allowed to condemn Israeli military tactics. But mainly I'm just going to try to respectfully speak my truth. I've been feeling like I have discovered truths and injustices and have been bottling them up without a place to really speak out. I suppose in some sense this is my cowardly choice of venue to do so anonymously. But it does feel better than nothing. Maybe someone will read it, maybe someone won't.

Not you have it backwards. I didn’t have much outgoing liquidity. My partner had the outgoing, so if the channel closed, the sats on his/her side would have gone back onchain. Then they’d be down liquidity on their node and need to find another partner to open with as well as would incur additional fees.
It would appear that they seized an opportunity when a route passed from their side (send side) to my side (routing through me) that pushed liquidity off their side of the channel (to my side) and then closed the channel.
When the channel closes, it sends whatever outgoing liquidity I had in the channel back onchain. Therefore it costs me sats when the channel closes which can’t be avoided, but it also costs me to open a new channel.
In the end, it’s not that big of a deal. But the right thing to do would have been to close the channel when all the outgoing was on their side if they were unhappy with the channel. They made the decision, they should have incurred the hit. Now my node is out of balance and I’ll be looking for a replacement channel. As well as I have to wait on the funds to settle back onchain.

Been playing around with FB ads because unfortunately I cannot shitpost on here and sell products reliably.
Been doing $5 a day just to make it real. Haven’t seen much results but it is still a learning process, my product is quite ready for prime time either so it is understandable.
But when I put that advertising budget into sats, that is 6100 sats per day off into the wind.
I probably won’t cancel the ad, I gotta figure out traditional ads at some point, but consider just zapping people 6,100 sats per day here and seeing if it works any better.
I already zap most posts I enjoy and my default zap is 69 satoshis.
