Yes! Though you may want to do text and formatting stuff in CSP still.

basically, when you draw normally in Krita it's stored as a raster. When you make a stroke, all it is is pixels with RGB and alpha (transparency) information.
A vector, on the other hand, is math. Stroke with this brush, this alpha, this colour, going this direction with this curve to produce the result. This effectively means whatever you draw is scalable, because it isn't just pixels on a grid and is actually data representing strokes. And it also means that editing strokes after you made them is a possibility.

oh nice, you've already started. Yeah Krita is definitely viable, probably even more so now than when I last used it. Also FYI skills are mostly transferable between Krita, CSP, and Photoshop. Just slightly different keybinds and button placements for the most part. As someone who's used all three of those for varying amounts of professional work, I have to say GIMP is niggeraids and obtuse at best

Krita's alright, I find it's basically like CSP but slightly more bare bones (No 3D references, can't think of anything else off hand but it's lots of little things) and FOSS. Blender Grease Pencil is just nuts I love it so much, would really recommend giving it a go if you ever feel ambitious
