When the US Government embraces Bitcoin, Bitcoin will become an asset of “strategic economic importance”.
Core Devs will be villainized. It will be generally accepted that such Devs be certified, Licensed and pass State clearance.
They’ll work out of a monolithic, windowless building on the central East Coast.
Ossification by individual node-runners will be penalized.
Then
Pressure will be put on other nations to comply, and most will.
The US Core Developer Agency will expand to include Devs from many (compliant) nations.

The Celsius Fraud case is one of the most fascinating and fiat injustices happening right now.
It’s protracted, but the elevator version is:
The Celsius Bankruptcy team (separate from Mashinsky, porn girl, et al) argued in the most-recognized corrupt court in the US, the SDNY Court, that according to Bankruptcy Law, everyone who withdrew their Bitcoin/Crypto 90 days prior to the official Insolvency was required to give their assets back - to be distributed to the other rug-pulled (i.e. in lieu of the Celsius team having to fully fund their scam).
It’s been ongoing, but the Celsius Litigation team has continually hard-balled this highly contested law. The argument for the affected is that the Bankruptcy Law-card they’re playing applied to earlier Ponzi schemes (like Enron) in which Insiders withdrew prior to bankruptcy, having inside info.
The SDNY has complied, and 1,000s of Individuals who withdrew (most knowing that Celsius was on the ropes) are being forced by a single State court order to “claw-back” their assets - at their value in early 2022. Such that those who foresaw and avoided the rug-pull are being compelled to bail-out the admittedly “completely fraudulent” firm for the obligations of those who did not see the collapse coming.
Keep in mind: most of those Crypto holders have seen their withdrawals go significantly down, even to nothing, while the Bitcoin holders have seen their withdrawals go up 5x. Keep in mind, Celsius’ “Director of Institutional Sales” did a porn vid in which she admitted she was in a financial firm, didn’t know why she was there, wasn’t sure if that was what she wanted to do in her life, yadda yadda. The early Court docs glaringly admit Celsius was completely fraudulent.
I know there are very few Bitcoiners affected by this, so it isn’t Zap-bait. But this is a clear and massive injustice for 1000s of people (but not Nation-States #linkBhutan) who saw what was coming, protected themselves, and now are being forced to bow-down to a bought and payed for singular Court in the US to bail-out the ignorant.

Started watching “Yellowstone” w/ my girlfriend.
While I appreciate the storyline and direction, I’m having a hard time buying it, and it’s kinda pissing her off.
So I’ll leave these thoughts here where it won’t matter if they trigger anyone, and go back to enjoying the show with her.
As someone who grew up in rural Texas - and as a Maxi - the whole Hollywood “rich dudes can still be tough-as-nails American Cowboys” daydream in “Yellowstone” is like watching shitcoiners cling to proof-of-work.
It isn’t real, it never was, and it’s some kind of last, sub-conscious projection of power before an inevitable hard wake-up call, imho.
The American Cowboy was a fantasy that captivated the world, yet never actually existed. It was irl simply a unique decade or so when poor white trash were given free license “go take what you can, do what you want - Government will come in and mop up later”.
Yet that very, very brief, unique era for a handful of Americans enraptured and encaptured human imagination worldwide forever. Freedom and Responsibility.
I can only hope Bitcoin is that same, remarkable opportunity.
I hope this (likely brief) era for Bitcoin will somehow light a fire in our collective soul as well.

All of them, honestly. The state of air travel in America has descended into what it was in the Third-World years ago. I stopped flying a couple years after 9/11. The humiliation ritual enacted on Americans was so obvious. Conversely, road-tripping is so empowering!

One of the fundamental recognitions in all real spiritual traditions is that everything moves within us and without us because of 3 forces aligning.
It’s said in many, many ways. My little brain understands it as: in All Things, Great and Small, there is an Ego-actor incentivized to act, there is the effect/response of the thing acted upon, and there is the Actualized Result (which is so often mis-identified & misunderstood, because it must be an integral part of the first two aligning correctly so that it’s not simply a mis-fire of the first two).
So while I get I sound like some spiritual rando on the Nostr-web, it’s fascinating to me that you used 2 examples of that understanding in one sentence. Just dropping into this convo to say that speaks to me.

This is an amazing intro clip to her approach to journalism precisely because it’s such a huge leap off the cliff - subject matter-wise. She exposes her authenticity, journalistic ability, and desire to simply question what’s true. She throw’s herself to the lions, despite her large following.

The central thesis here is that, imo, arguing against Nostr is arguing against the strongest player in the game. And no team doesn’t hire the strongest player, even knowing the future is uncertain.
As a 25+ year investment advisor, I learned never to bet on any particular company in what was a clear emergent “theme”. Bet on most of them. But I’m a Maxi now, I’ve disavowed that fiat thinking. So I’m all-in on Nostr, w/ Twitter as my fiat sweep account. But for people still trying to find their social media “plan b”, trying to figure out what’s happening in the social media world, this is a maelstrom of decisions happening fast.
I subbed you on Nostr probably more than a year ago. Now shit’s exploding. The response to people who want to argue against what’s clearly happening is, imho:

That’s why I like to follow the price of Bitcoin in Barrels of WTI Crude Oil in your Rumble chat! I want to view price-movement in something other than fiat currency, and Oil is the best proxy I’ve found.
(FYI when I started doing that a couple years ago it was roughly 250k sats / barrel. Last Thurs I believe it was ~123k / barrel.)

I’ve recently become incredibly smitten with someone who is locked in an abusive relationship. I’ve never encountered this before, so I’m learning constantly now how common it is, in both men and women, and how it creeps in slowly…because sociopaths gotta sociopath.
In researching this, I found this piece from pop-psych mag Psychology Today that was amazing, and I’ve read it over and over again…referred it to my friend and she said “that was my life wrapped up in one article”.
I’m learning that abuse isn’t a victim problem, it’s what happens when normal people don’t know that there are sociopaths in the world. So they get ensnared slowly, thinking they are working hard to manage normal relationships in normal ways. They don’t realize they’re with people who are not healthy but have been struggling to appear as healthy their whole lives.
Yes, for the Bitcoiners reading this we realize that ALL of us are in an abusive relationship. We, and I, get this. But it hits home to experience this much closer to my home and to heart.
Recognizing the sociopath personality is absolutely, 100% key to awakening in our modern world. They are small, but they are legion, and totally in control because naturally they seek control…where normal people don’t want to. Bitcoiners get this. There’s a reason most of Congress in the US is over 70…they have no interest in retiring and spending time with loved ones. They don’t understand loved ones, or people. They only understand control. It’s so unhealthy.
Bitcoin has vastly helped me understand how to be strong and sensitive and patient with a woman I’m whooped by. (And things are going forward in a very amazing way, just to say).

I didn’t mind the first one (only one I’ve seen), but I truly appreciate that Keanu was literally the only choice for that role - a middle-age A-list actor who has spent 20 years or more on the cutting edge of fight-combat. It’s doubtful the film would’ve had much impact with anyone else.
Also I heard they had a 3-day location shoot that couldn’t be changed and Keanu came down w/ stomach flu. They said he never complained, gave his all, and spent his downtime resting and vomiting. Also heard he genuinely makes an effort to hang-out with everyone one his shoots, which is a sign of character if its true.

My daughter changed my life one day at a homeschool group when she ran up to another kid and said “Hey! my name’s ___, I Like You, you wanna be friends?”
That hit me hard, as an adult.
So now, when I genuinely like someone, I will make a simple point if it’s appropriate to say “I Like you. I hope we can be friends.”
Authenticity is a fundamental life-goal.

I’ve often assumed that Satoshi would never have distributed the code in the first place w/o having at least 3 or 4 personally-controlled machines already running it in the emerging network. I don’t know this is the case, but it seems very sensible.
If so, is that how Satoshi acquired those ~1million coins?
If not - if that Satoshi block was a pure pre-mine - then isn’t it likely Satoshi acquired many coins just by being 3 or 4 or the first miners to legit mine Bitcoin?
In which case, he/she/they likely were amply rewarded early on. For which I’d be delighted. Hopefully they didn’t sell when it hit $100.
