Ich glaube da gibt es wirklich ein grosse gray area, über die man diskutieren müsste (vor allem, wenn man das "einzelne" herausnimmt.
Vor längeren Codeblöcken, die man nicht in separate Prozeduren isoliert bekommt und in denn algorithmisch anspruchsvolles stattfindet, sollte IMHO meist auch ein Kommentar:
Wie: "Wir iterieren jetzt durch die Liste und versuchen Einträge zu finden, die den Kriterien A, B, C, entsprechen. Den ersten Eintrag, den wir finden, weissen fir auf foo zu. Wir sind fertig, wenn wir eine Sentinel finden oder die Liste zuende ist. Einträge, die "..." sind eine Verletzung der Vorbedingung, die dürfen nicht vorkommen". Wenn wir keinen Eintrag findem, ist foo nach der Schleife auf NULL."
Was auch, bei komplexeren Schleifen/Strukturen echt ein Service an den Leser wäre, wäre, die (Schleifen-) Invarianten klarzustellen.
Natürlich wäre es besser, wenn jedes Stück implementation, das einenn eigenen Kommantar braucht, auch in einen eigenen Datentyp oder eine eigen Prozedur abstrahiert würde. Das kann man dann auch testen ...
Aber Fakt: Find mal Entwickler, die das so machen. Bei jedem größeren Projekt musst Du mit den Leuten arbeiten, die Deine Firma für Dich gefunden hat. Bei Kollegen kannst Du denen nicht wegen "Stilfragen" in den Rücken fallen.
Bei externen Dienstleistern haben oft andere den Vertrag gemacht und dann kriegst Du Leute, die alles (untestbar) in gigantische Prozeduren verpacken. Unkommentiert (aber das ist das kleinste Problem).
