Sorry man. I was on vacation with the fam and promised to disconnect. Unfortunately the relay proxy also took vacation while I was away. Restarted and should be up and running again!
Anyway, this is obviously a major issue. I don’t want to be a single point of failure. I’m going to try and make it easy for users to run their own relay proxies to avoid this going forward.

I think the concept is fine. It’s the value prop for Nostr + zaps and probably has even more of an instant user base since it rides on signal. My issue was the claim that it’s the first to combine secure messaging with bitcoin.

it uses a local relay and AFAIK doesnt work when the app is killed backgrounded which is the problem i set out to fix in the first place. ive had the same bunker for Nostur for weeks without having to update or manage it in @npub1cla…539g - you should give it a try. would also love your feedback on the Ux, it could use some work

Yea the dm issue is going to take me a solid couple of weeks to do. Need to figure out how to do it with the limitations of a remote signer and the potential to need to decrypt thousands of DMs requiring twice as many round trips between client and signer. I think I can figure out though but it will require coordination bw client and signer. It works ok on coracle for me, but I don’t have a massive DM inbox. Try that out and let me know what you think because that would be the starting point.

When you use a remote signer with yakihonne it asks you if you want to use Nostr connect or paste a bunker string. Paste a bunker string that you generate from Clave (hit the connect tab, then “Share a code from Clave”). Then paste that string into Yakihonne or whatever client you are using.

What I described and started working on was a way to help with collaboration using ngit. Which again would fit in well with a broader vision of what Gleason is describing. Maybe it’s a terrible idea, but I didnt exactly get the feeling that you or Soapbox is interested in collaborating. “Let’s build together” feels pretty hollow tbh.

Yea I found an awesome group of people who were willing to help me test clave. But i did all of the development on my own, and haven’t had anyone offer to help with dev work or even project management (creating and maintaining issues for example). Also there’s the marketing and education aspect which I suck at and don’t have time to do because I’m spending so much time on the dev work. So using extra dev capacity is one way to help and offload maintainers, but you’re right there are other ways.

It’s not just about the capability. Sure you can spin up your own janky client but not sure that helps the ecosystem or grow Nostr. We’d be better off if there was more collaboration on projects, or at least a better balance between forking something for yourself versus contributing to other projects. Started working on this. I’m sure there are others with extra ai subscription capacity at the end of the week that could point their clanker to well scoped issues on projects they like.

I had started building something I'd love feedback on: **PRana** 🐟
It's a directory of opt-in NIP-34 git repos that surfaces their actually-open issues, tagged by complexity, so you can grab one and fix it.
The idea: a lot of us have idle AI-subscription quota that's use-it-or-lose-it. PRana routes that spare capacity to vetted backlog items across nostr git projects. Not "donate your tokens" (you can't), just a smart worklist that points you at a good small task.
The name comes from PR + piranha: a swarm of contributors stripping a shared issue backlog clean.
Already working: signature-verified fetch, a status resolver that figures out which issues are really open, a claim primitive (so two people don't burn capacity on the same issue), and a web UI with claim + clone.
Would love some feedback, and if anyone wants to build on it, come say hi. 🐟

Growth requires infrastructure. Infra costs money and devs time. And without a growing user base to support that infra, those devs, those relay operators, they go away. And with shit relays and shit abandonware projects, the users and creators go away too. So no, I don’t think Nostr can’t be stopped. It requires proof of work, like everything else that’s worth fighting for.

It’s a nip46 signer. Key stays in clave and clients request that clave sign on your behalf. So you can test out any number of Nostr clients without handing over your nsec to each of them.

Try it with Zap.cooking, yakihonne, Nostur, nostrudel, coracle, revels, jumble, and my favorite JANK.army. Pretty much any nip46 compatible app, which there are a bunch. And yes, need to work on that discover tab. All of the development has been solo so it takes time.

Also when you create an exercise in POWR it gets added to a nip51 list, which is what gets displayed in the exercises collection. I think it’s a 30003 called ‘powr-exercise-list’ if I recall correctly. So try republishing that list with the 33401s you made
