Had a day off from work due to having some overtime. I thought I might be a good idea to update my #arch #linux boxes with #plasma6.
In general. All arch updates went fine so far.
Some feedback to the switch to wayland.
My main #freebsd is still on 5.27/xorg, running fine.
Same machine, dual boot arch install with #intel gpu: all fine with wayland.
The #amd A4/kabini netbook: The wayland session felt really sluggish/laggy, while getting back to #xorg fixed it back to a normal state.

Some manufacturer make that uneccessarily complicated. Yeah, I know... "sEcUrIty AnD oNlY tO pReVeNt mE fFrOm bRiCkIng"
I remember the days I got full blueprints with my stereo rack in case I want to fix (ruin*g*) it, which was a different approach of a manufacturer/customer relationship *sigh*

I have an an ax200 rev 1a in an older inspiron 1525 and a ax210 in an latitude as well, but fortunately I had no random reboots, neither on 13.2 nor on 14.0 when connecting with wpa to my router here.
wifibox is a workaround and fixed some problems (suspend, speed, reconnect) etc but also posed problems with kdeconnect or my ipp anywhere printer, so I know what you mean by "hacky"
But I'll arranged myself and now settled with iwlwifi.

it also depends on home environment and experiences. If you grow up in a social insecure/violent/patronizing surrounding you just extrapolate the pattern to other situation, or switch the roles to cope with it. Who knows, we would have to ask them...
Also I think Montessori/Reggio had perhaps some influence on the educational system in Italy, so things might be less rigid than e.g. our north of the alps. ;-)

@npub1t7d…pqpp welcome to my world, now (am an ex IT guy now in social work). Being authentic and being honest is key and sometimes makes the difference. Most of them had subpar experiences with grown ups. ;-)

You had some time for them, you were honest and took them seriously, you made them curious and shared interesting things with no strings attached for them (like in school). You were doing/using your thing, trying out other things because most grown ups don't. L33t h4x0r stuff is also cool.
I think your way of interacting was making an impression on them. Seems, they don't get that often.

Ok, ich geh erst einmal nicht von irgendwelchen sinistren Hintergedanken sondern eher von einer gewissen handwerklichen "Betriebsblindheit" aus. Macht es um nichts besser, aber evtl. kann unser Feedback dazu führen, dass man sich dort vielleicht mal anfängt besser zu reflektieren.
