Yes, failure is a necessary part of the process. We can acknowledge that there are smart people working at SpaceX; the entire problem, of course, is that with Musk nobody has any rational reason to give the benefit of the doubt.
Consequently any attempt to be fair to the engineers at SpaceX, like you're trying to be, gets mixed in with media sycophants who for years called Musk a genius based entirely on his inherited wealth.

I'm so sorry. I'm very fortunate not to have any pro-Trump relatives (even though pre-Trump we ran the political spectrum). But I am from a red state, and the country no less. The county where I grew up went for Trump by thirty points or so. I know how agonizing it is.
That said, in some ways it's felt vindicating to see everyone's true character. I now understand a lot of feelings of unease that I couldn't explain and blamed on myself as a kid. Turns out little me was right.

Meloxicam. I saw his rash and asked if he was taking Advil, since that's a common offender. I knew he had taken it sometimes for his arthritis. He said no, and I didn't realize his doctor had switched him to a different drug in the same class. The ER doc didn't catch it, maybe didn't see the drug in the record? Anyway, his dermatologist then worked him in and was the one to make the right call.
Thank goodness he's okay now and the pizza was awesome. Thanks for asking!

My hapless neighbor has managed to survive erythema multiforme, which at a minimum is a very frustrating itchy rash. In his case, if the drug that caused it hadn't been identified and stopped, he could have progressed to the more dangerous version of it, Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
He is fine now, so we are celebrating with #PostRashPizza, viz, I am buying him pizza from this local place that keeps getting voted best in the city. We eat this stuff like we're opening a 200 year old bottle of wine.

When I dropped off Jeeves the #feral cat at the charity where he'll be neutered and vaccinated, they gave me a piece of paper with his shelter number on it. They said I could call for updates if I wanted to.
I know they're very busy, so I don't think I will bother them. I'll wait for them to call me and tell me to pick him up.
I just thought that was incredibly sweet. Last night, as I lay in bed listening to a yipping coyote pack, I felt great knowing that Jeeves is indoors in good hands.

Both my former ferals were clearly excellent hunters. They showed up at healthy weights with no injuries, and we live in an area with plenty of wildlife that can eat a cat. They also survived harsh winters. They're badasses.
Now they meow piteously at me until I show them the food in the bowl. What gives?

I do hope I can keep this guy around in some way. My two former ferals are not enthused about him even though they showed up *exactly* the same way. I don't know what kind of welcome he would get from them; it's a miracle those two even get along with each other.
The winter cold around here can kill, so in a few months I'll have to figure out something. Hopefully by then he will be a bit less feral.

I've turned this little guy into a patio regular with food, confirmed with the neighbors that he's feral, and borrowed a humane trap from a local charity.
He's totally right to be giving me stink eye. I intend to take him for neuter surgery, shots, worming and other un-fun things in the near future. Wish me luck!
