So it turns out that wired headphones need to be plugged in to actually deliver sound to one’s ears.

I was on board when sneaker brands started offering custom design options. I click-click-click to make pretty, they build and ship. Now Converse are selling a Rit dye kit. USD$65 for the shoe, USD$25 for the dye. $90 for me to do a whole lotta work. I get that some creative folks might be really happy about this, and I’m not trying to yuck their yum; I just feel like I ought to get a discount for doing the work, not pay extra.

While I’m still very new to VR, I’m slowly starting to form Opinions and Thoughts.
Such as. Endless Ocean Luminous is coming out soon for Switch. This would be a phenomenal VR title.
Such as. <dons fireproof suit> Beat Saber has no business being a VR title. There’s nothing immersive about it. There are just objects flying at you. It being VR is annoying as heck because you sweat and the headset ends up sliding all over. This would be a great Switch title.
I miss Kinect.

I’m in one of my favourite places: atop Mount Abu in Rajasthan. I got a stomach bug the day before we came up and have been too sick to leave my room the whole time I’ve been here. It’s my first time here since 2019 and I leave tomorrow, without having been able to visit any of my favourite spots. It feels like such a colossal waste. I has a huge sad. 😔

@npub1svs…p66u I added a remote local timeline in the Communities tab and added it to my tab bar with a custom icon. Later, decided to remove it. Even after removing it from the Communities tab, it remains in my tab bar. This persisted through an app quit-relaunch. Running version 6 (46493) and iOS 17.4b.

@npub16mz…hm5n If you like ginger, chews and tea are delicious and great alternatives to tablets or capsules. Dramamine also has a “natural” version now that’s made with ginger, if you want a tiny tube to keep on hand. Hope you’re feeling better. <3

Having to gather materials and craft as soon as I started was kinda meh. And then having to attack the Pals to weaken them and capture them, that wasn’t fun. And then immediately putting them to work wasn’t fun. And now I’ve read about the CEO and the guns and seen the accusations of Pokémon plagiarism and and and… Thinking refund request.

@npub16mz…hm5n Last year, I switched from calling it my backlog (something to get through) to calling it my library (something I browse and savour, with no self-imposed pressure to play it all, just like I feel no pressure to read every book, watch every film, or listen to every song). (To be clear, I’m not criticising or suggesting you change, just sharing my experience.)
This year, I’m going further: no lists. Starting by finishing one game abandoned long ago. Then will do the same with another. 😊

At our meditation centre, events are often in both Hindi and English. We have these cheap (both inexpensive and mediocre quality) Steren AUD-1250 cordless rf headphones so that people can listen to translation being broadcast from the sound room.
I’m trying to find modestly priced alternatives to these headphones, because we need like 80-100 of them. I can’t find anything. Help? Thanks! (In the States.)

So I removed everything over $12 to a list at isthereanydeal.com.
