I was on board when sneaker brands started offering custom design options. I click-click-click to make pretty, they build and ship. Now Converse are selling a Rit dye kit. USD$65 for the shoe, USD$25 for the dye. $90 for me to do a whole lotta work. I get that some creative folks might be really happy about this, and I’m not trying to yuck their yum; I just feel like I ought to get a discount for doing the work, not pay extra.
