Them: I can’t post this online because it’s not quite public yet, but government officials had a town meeting with all of the residents of chimney rock and basically told them the town was being bulldozed, bodies and all and the land was being seized by the federal government they would not be able to move back and basically their homes the ones that were standing were no longer theirs and the federal government owned it all. Them: Our friend owns an Airbnb in Chimney Rock. They had a town meeting yesterday and someone from the federal government told them all of those things in the town meeting, but doesn’t want the information getting out. Also, they are not picking up the bodies. The stench of the bodies everywhere is insane and for some reason, the government does not want to pick up the bodies. One pastor of a local church was going to order to door delivering water and they changed their delivery request to body bags because so many of the homes that they’ve gone to have needed body bags, we’re trying to keep the body count. They’re not picking up the bodies. They don’t wanna identify the bodies and they’re just leaving them to rot in the streets.

"This entire area is a war zone, even if not directly “destroyed” by flood waters. There are men, women and children starving, without water and sanitation. No fuel. People can’t get to any distro points because they have no fuel. People are walking on foot and dragging wagons . . .
The majority of federal and state assets are being diverted to the incorporated areas of Asheville, Black Mtn, etc. and without a deliberate effort yet into the rural unincorporated areas.
People are suffering, and communities are rapidly moving to isolation and self-defense and policing.
There are bodies floating down the rivers. There are bodies stuck in the tops of trees.
Linemen entering destroyed areas are finding dozens of children as young as 3 walking thru the mud near naked, crying for their parents, some with ropes still tied on their arms attached to broken lumber where clearly their dead parents had last ditch tied them to something.

FTA: The COVID era has been difficult for scientists whose ideas run against the grain of powerful scientific and government bureaucracies. Even for university scientists with unblemished reputations in the before times, the price of speaking up has been vilification by social media companies, the media, and, unfortunately, even scientific journals and our fellow scientists. It is a wonder that any scientists dared to speak out, with only their commitment to the truth as a reason to do so.
In a recent letter to the House, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote that the Biden-Harris administration "repeatedly pressured" his social media empire to censor speech it didn't like. His company often acceded to those demands, and "with the benefit of hindsight and new information," Zuckerberg now admits it was wrong. At the behest of the government, Zuckerberg's Facebook censored even true speech about dangerous gain-of-function research, school closures, and COVID-19 vaccine injuries.
No scientist wants the information they share on social media to be labeled as "misinformation" or to have their accounts suspended for scientific speech, which Zuckerberg's under-qualified censors often did. Such labels represent a direct smear on scientists' reputations—the coin of the realm in science; as a consequence of this censorship regime, many scientists opt to stay silent or watch from the sidelines, not being willing to risk such a label.
Meanwhile, scientists who do choose to participate in debates about science or public health policy are met with slanderous attacks, not just by social media companies but by scientist bruisers who lobby accusations of racism, sexism, antisemitism, false allegations of conflicts of interest, and even mass murder at us rather than engage in good faith debate. The public, who would benefit from sober, reasoned discourse, is instead presented with bluster from scientific bullies who intimidate their targets into silence.

_The Truth About US Presidential Immunity_
Get this: If you are opposed to immunity for Presidents—whether in office or out of office—then you should be opposed to immunity from prosecution for the laws enacted by legislatures, for the legal decisions made by judges (or by Justices,) and for the acts of any and all other “officers of the United States”.) The same applies to officers of the several States. That means that you should be in support of indicting, prosecuting and convicting a member of Congress, or of a State legislature, for voting in favor of any law(s) found to be Unconstitutional, based on the fact that US Code Title 18, sections 241 and 242 make it a Federal felony to conspire to violate Constitutional rights and/or to deprive anyone of their Constitutional rights “under color of law.”

_The End Of The Petrodollar_
It's true that the USD's status as the world's pre-eminent reserve currency raises the USD's exchange rate relative to other countries, and it's true that that fact both reduces the quantity of goods and services that foreigners will purchase from US vendors, and also increases the quantity of goods and services that US entities will purchase from foreign sources. And therefore, it does cause the US current-account deficit to be higher than it would be otherwise. This is known as the 'Triffin Dilemma.'
HOWEVER, that also means that American entities buy goods and services from foreign sources at a discount, and sell goods and services to foreign buyers at a premium. Per economic theory, that makes it a net wash macro-economically, all else being equal:
Domestic goods and services not sold to foreigners increases the domestic supply in the US, thereby reducing the market-clearing price for domestic purchasers. Conversely, foreign-produced goods and services sold to US entities decreases the supply of those goods and services outside the US, thereby raising the market-clearing prices of those goods and services for the residents of foreign nations.
Per Austrian economic theory, a current-account deficit is not caused by a currency's status as a major reserve currency, but rather by other factors, such as the quality of a nation's goods and services relative to that of other nations, or the fact that a nation domestically produces significantly more or less of some set of highly-demanded goods or services relative to its competitor nations, or the fact that there are interest-rate differentials between national currencies.
One major factor determining currency exchange rates is the relative "money supply" of each currency. And that's why, in the case of fiat currencies, the rate of new-money creation relative to that of other currencies strongly affects the velocity and direction of the currency's exchange rate. It also strongly affects the interest rates charged to borrow the currency, which is one reason that Interest rate differentials are a significant factor in determining the exchange rate between currencies. Interest rates strongly depend on the rate of new money creation.
The status of a currency as a major world reserve currency does counteract the effects of a high rate of fiat money creation on the currency's exchange rate with other currencies, because those two factors have opposite effects: The former acts to raise the value of the currency relative to others, while the latter acts to lower it.
The fact that a currency is a major world reserve currency increases the ability of its issuing nation to borrow money, thereby strongly affecting the ability of said government to spend more than it collects via taxation. But that means that the effect on a currency of losing its status as a reserve currency (or of having that reduced) is to raise the interest rate that the issuing nation must pay to borrow money, or perhaps even to make it impossible to borrow any additional funds.
Given the fact that the US government currently borrows about as much money each year as it collects in taxes, what do you think will be the effects domestically of the US government having to pay a higher interest rate to borrow money, year after year, due to the loss of the USD's status as the world's pre-eminent reserve currency?
