#AoC’s prime time speech at the #dnc was brilliant. Here (effective) endorsement of the Biden administration Gaza peace-making efforts was a huge statement to those out on the streets. And, as I said, it was part of a brilliant speech.

It doesn’t recede when I push the glass up, and I have tried roaring both ways.

How many Jeffrey Goldbergs does it take to change a lightbulb?
Here you see a ceiling lamp in the house we’ve moved into. It is about 25cm in diameter. (I didn’t have a banana handy for scale). If I try to rotate the glass part, it has maybe 5 degrees of play. If I try to rotate the outer metal ring, that has around 10 degrees of somewhat springy play.
Anyone have tips on how to non-destructively open this?

Well this is annoying. Even through hostnames are not case sensitive, it isn't safe change the case and expect an equivalent name.
“straße.example” is a different name than “STRASSE.EXAMPLE”.

@npub189n…satx, Democrats have their kooks, too. But spot the difference.
- The D kooks in Congress can be counted on one hand.
- The kooks are not appointed to important committees.
- The party leadership doesn’t (pretend to) join them in their kookiness.
- The kooks don’t get applauded and or do the anti-kooks get punished by the party
- The D fundraising emails and mailers don’t try to appeal to the kookiness.
