This is the t-shirt I got today for participating in the Ocean to Bay ride. I have been training a little obsessively since I got over COVID in January and, after being back on a bike since May of last year (after 30 years off), I finished in 6:21 with an average speed of 15.6mph. @npub1hvd…9sq9 I used to consider myself old at 49, but it’s not just the years, it’s the miles: 6 years in the military, married young, stepdaughter with a hostile dad, autistic son with difficult-to-meet needs, widowed young, remarried young, 13 concussions, weird career path, lifelong chronic pain, etc.
Then this year I got a bike, rode a couple thousand miles, lost a ton of weight, lowered my BP and RHR, increased my VO2max, and now feel stronger, faster and more physically capable than ever.

My dad was a minister, so I invited them in, offered them so coffee (😃) and asked them to read me Galatians 1:8. I feel like people are not aware of how many truly good people are on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter.
