I have lost thousands of sats on all cashu wallets, all of them have risk, but more often than not what I thought lost was not lost, it could be recovered in one way or another
I just tested again the minting.
For the sake of helping, in case you missed a step
1. click on receive
2. Click on Mint Token
3. Select the amount and mint
4. copy the Lighting Network invoice (you are funding the wallet)
5. open the LN⚡ wallet you will be using to send the funds, I just used Minibits to pay a invoice I created
6. pay the invoice
7 open Sovereign app again, the funds should be there or shortly
By experience, if you used Wallet of Satoshi or any other wallet like Phoenix the funds may be on flight , last time it happened to me I was funding minibits, took 8 hours, I thought I lost the sats but they arrived.

I keep trying wallets #eCash capable and npub.cash is definitely a very clean, easy to use one. Love its simplicity.
Recently, someone commented on a poll I did (you didn't see the post if your #Nostr client does not support polls), why I added npub.cash if that wallet does not support "SEND". Perhaps he doesn't understand that npub.cash is a 100% eCash wallet. no #LN⚡

that being said, that guy has a point, instead of the button " WITHDRAW ", replacing that word with " SEND " will make noons understand better, less confusing for them, additionally you message after clicking on "WITHDRAW" is quite eloquent and the warning on top of the wallet is very clear. My experience so far have been non positive:
The steps suppose to be simple:
1. Install NTFY
2. Open Amethyst and go to settings, select "Push Notifications", select NTFY

Done, very simple, but, didn't work for me... No notifications arrived for zaps or DMs, okay, troubleshooting time... Clear cache in both apps, nope, checked I have good trustable relays for DMs, yep, all good, uninstalled NTFY, installed again, repeated the process, worked!
Hmmm, but why? Need to know... Uninstalled NFTY again, installed it again, repeated the process, no dice, not working, repeated the process around 10 times, no dice :(
Anyone with a similar experience that can give me a hint as to what it can be the problem?

I decided to install #Primal and play around to compare it with #Amethyst...
My impression:
Primal censors new users (tested extensively), does not show likes and zaps and boosts made by users in Amethyst, not once while testing. Amethyst instead does a decent job at it and does not censor new users.
Primal UI is limited in terms of functionality, less features, not tiktok like feed, no sign with Amber (that is already a show stopper) no private and public bookmarks, no tabs showing tags followed, no badges.
Primal wallet is convenient but lacks ecash, those using that wallet instead of #Minibits or #Coinos or #npub.cash are missing out, combining LN and eCash is simply awesome and worth it learning to use it. It is good that Primal allows its users to add a wallet using NWC but after doing not all my zaps worked.
Amethyst is hands down the winner for me.
Testing now #0xChat as well, quite impressive and the wallet supports mints (eCash) loving the Telegram vibes, a bit different though, the UI is quite confusing for newbs, the landing view needs work, should be focusing on "Me". I would suggest to the dev team that if they are going to be the #Nostr TG, to match the UI TG experience instead to create a new one people is not used to, add to that already knwon UI experience the Nostr features like the wallet and you have a winner, just a suggestion I recently read from a follower and I think she is right

Suggestions:
Mobile: Using the sensors, asking the user during sign in to perform a shake could help. **"shake - to - proof - humanity"**, the downside is that desktop users would need a different approach and we have many but it will help to reduce some of the spammers.
Desktop: a small game to sign in would help, making the bots less efficient.

Being testing Primal and Amethyst for a while and the user experience in Primal is not better than with Amethyst, in fact Primal fails in three areas that need work:
1. Follower count, Amethyst is slow to show them, it query them every time and the user can observe the number adding up, in Primal the algorithm is broken, shows less followers, it is innacurate, probably due to relayer "filtering", not good
2. The badges may be useless but they are cool, Primal fails to depict them
3. Zapping using other wallets than the native to the app Primal is slow and often fails
Is Primal your default Nostr front end to go? If so, Why? Seems quite deficient in comparison with the alternative,
Maybe I am missing something...

it will depend on the Mint you are transacting with.
In Minibits, click on Settings -> Manage mints.
I will assume you fund one already with some sats to transact. Select it or click on it, once you do that a small menu will open, select "Mint information page"
All the information about that Mint are there for all its users, including the limits for deposits and withdraw, in the default Mint both are capped at 1,000,000 sats and the minimum to 0... So 1 sat

NVIDIA has announced a new project in the field of AI aimed at creating “humanoid robots” that are capable of learning new skills and solving complex tasks by studying human behavior.
So,.10 to 15 years until we get one at home doing all chores, taking care of the children and elders... and... all high end factories full of them doing the current low paid jobs....
Sometimes I wonder how long time the system has left before it implodes. ..
A change like this implies that new sources of job and income are required to mantain the population living standards...
All factories will want to reduce costs and remove their workers for droids that will do it cheaper and better in most cases,
The irony? If you let go all factory employees you will have less clients with money across the board and therefore less sells, many of those factories will go bankrupt. ..The money flow is a complicated matter.
Government oversight is required to create a plan and regulate usage in order to avoid the collapse of the system, if only we had competent government officials...
Nowadays , it is my opinion, we have the most incompetent politicians and government officials across the board (in western countries) in the known history of "democracy" (which is nothing but an illusion of choice for the weak minded majority, but that is another complicated subject....)

Always following and learning of all things crypto currencies, watching the rise and fall of many non sense projects, the rise and fall of some interesting projects misguided by greed and lack of transparency but the Monero case is one of its own.
The more I learn about the XMR technology the more impressed I am, I wish we could add some of it to Bitcoin so BTC could ve used as money suppose to be, private, anonymous and secure.
A layer 2 solution with the features of Monero is a must for BTC, meanwhile, a very nice gold 2.0, holding and when required to spend online with your private wallets , you need to perform a coinjoin for spend or an atomic swap into a brand new wallet to spend it...Not ideal as money unless you are in a CEX and you just don't care about your privacy and you just care about price appreciation and nothing else, IMO most non tech savvy people, which is the majority.
Monero will be prosecuted, demonized and attacked to exhaustion, yet, it will survive everything for it is designed for that and better at it than any other token.
Now, the price appreciation of Monero is a very interesting development to watch, a free market once all CEXs drop it will decide the price, meanwhile watching the price moves while is dumped by others like Kraken will be interesting, the utility of the token as a payment token is clear and widely used by the tech savvy... Time will say

This disgusting behavior is one of the many reasons the "united" west is failing and falling, the status quo is shifting and there is no turning back, you can't have allies if you bully them every time they do not agree with you. Interesting, every person is different, some people are immune to the coffee effect, in my case, I can drink a black coffee at night and sleep 8 hours perfectly.
I assume that for some it create addiction since it has a strong effect in their body, I know people that can't function in the morning until they have a coffee. I have to admit that I always thought about it as interesting, they can take a coffee and stay alert, I would fall sleep the same.

If the fees are high enough, the miners will have a healthier business, and be able to growth their business securely. And will hold more BTC as reserve.
Still, they will sell BTC to pay for their OPEX, that will not change until the OPEX can be paid in BTC.
Bear in mind that miners are Bitcoin sellers by default, that is the business model...

Don't pay attention to the noise and the words, but the actions, what is being done, not looking good at the moment.
Hopefully we will see some tangible changes that are in line with the ethos of Bitcoin.
Either way, the management of the situation has been quite disappointing creating more division in the community, I only observe a zero sum gain scenario for Ocean and a negative PR that will be difficult to recover from.

Got it, by the way, I use Umbrel with https using tailscale, works well.
But, I like your setup, more robust and reliable for sure. Umbrel OS is a fun toy to play with, at least for me, the main HW for nodes and sovereign cloud services needs to be more robust 👍

Agree, Star9 is quite superior if you need more than simply a node, electrum and dojo.
I do not feel is a good practice to mix anything with a Bitcon node that is not related, therefore, star9 is a setting I use only for self sovereign server with cloud services, but no Bitcoin, I try to remove any possible additional attack vector to the device.
Umbrel OS works without stability issues if not mixed with anything else but Node, electrum and dojo,.
I think both are awesome, but each one for a different use case.
Did you buy the star9 HW solution or install it in a server of your own?
