Hi folks in the UK:
I have a lactose sensitivity and am looking to switch to a lactose free milk, but preferably still cows milk. I know this exists as I've had it in South Africa, but wondered if anyone had recommendations for good brands and/or places to get them that are relatively reliable and don't taste abominable.
While I know there are milk alternatives available, and I'll try them if this doesn't work, I figure it's always safer and better to ask than to suffer in silence.
Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

@nprofile…c44g Have you looked on sights like Linked in, indeed and Job it? I know jobs there are a dime a dozen, but I've gotten 2 interviews from applying there, and I suspect, having experience in some rather sought after fields, you might be able to make something work.

It's hard to say I've done French for a year now. Before anyone comes at me with the leap year bullshit, this isn't even the official anniversary, it's just my 365th day on Duo Lingo of doing French minus a couple streak freezes in between. I'm proud of this. Arguably, it is the longest thing I've stuck to with any kind of consistency. I'm proud, and that's all that matters to me.

My mom started a local, non-English blind/VI whatsapp group, sharing cooking tips, kitchen hacks and recipes.
It's occured to me that people might really find something like this useful, but I want something you can just browse through. So...
If I set up a folder, or a site, or literally anything, who would be interested? Who'd want to contribute? Can we get a feel for the potential value of this?

Friend sent me a voice message of her daughter saying hi to me, and I don't want kids, but I'm low key on the verge of tears. I'll say this for a while yet, but I miss England. I miss the people who just took me as I was, no questions asked. Or at least not where I could hear them. I valued that. I'm worth that. I needed that. I want it back.

I often take decision-making out of other people's hands so that I can hurt myself before they get the chance to.
This means that I rarely have expectations in my relationships, and that I'm permanently surprised when people do what they say they'll do, or just do something nice for me out of the goodness of their heart.
What this has also historically meant for me, though, is that I have a habit of not expecting anything. Even when I should have had expectations. Even when I should have been prioritizing myself enough to ask for things, I didn't.
As a result, I've ended up in historically unhealthy relationships, or relationships where I didn't feel I could set bounddaries, because I didn't think they'd ever be respected.
I'm currently working on trying to fix this. But damn, it's hard...

I am thinking of starting a book club. I want to primarily meet up once a month. Preference will be given to times that benefit Europe/The UK/Me as a South African.
I want this to be very chilled, no real pressure, but I'm also interested in doing polls for book genres and associated books, etc.

To all the humans out there with an abundance of cosmetics, skin care, other stuff in that vain... How do you keep it all organized? I have 2 travel vanity cases, but they're too small. I've also designated a drawer to at least store the bags and the stuff that's seasonal, like insect stuff, sunscreen etc... but I'm lost. I'm looking to keep stuff for nails separately, face care stuff, perfumes, and so on. Please give me some advice, even if you think it's silly. Having an organization system keeps me sane, and I feel pretty overwhelmed right now.

Looking for a little bit of advice, which is probably going to come from fellow #blind #StardewValley players. i am - for some reason that is defying all logic - unable to donate any more items to the museum, despite having items to donate. I just end up having to sell them off or gift them because keeping them just seems pointless when I don't see an end in sight for this issue.
