Today I got stabbed... I mean, a nurse asked me to sign concent forms, which I did, and then she gave me the 2 missing immunisations that's needed for immigration. So... even though I got stabbed twice, they were good stabs as I'm now one step closer to getting my green card.
I'll need to go back on Monday and get stabbed again, that time to actually bleed, as they need to get some labs done that they couldn't do today.
Progress is good though I'm not the biggest fan of the stabby parts 🤣😬

My husband asked Chat GPT to write sales copy for my first book, and I am floored. It's way better than I came up with.
It does have some mistakes as it's ascribing things to the main character that didn't actually happen to her, but it gave me some great ideas for how to upgrade my sales copy!
My first thought was, "Wow, I wanna read that book!! Oh wait, I already have multiple times as I wrote it!" 🤣

How to be a good woman 💃
Learn to say No, kindly. Don’t obviscate, but simply let your Yes be a Yes that you can handle, and your No a No you can stand by. Don’t compromise if it’s going to take more from you than you have to give.

Learn to ask if they want help/input, instead of giving unsolicited advice.

A Good Man knows how to lead, and how to encourage others to lead. He gives space for others to try new things, and encourages them even if they fail.
A Good Man can spot the difference between someone who needs a second chance to succeed, and one who has decided to fail no matter how many chances they get.
A Good Man is authentic and speaks the truth even when it's uncomfortable.

Forgive each other quickly.

If you can tell that you’re unreasonably emotional about something, take a moment to calm down, and think about what you really want, not just that you DIDN’T like what just happened. How to get what you want from a man 🤔
Try telling him what you want him to do, without the story. Ask straight questions, and give straight answers.
I struggle with the latter, but I’m also a verbal processor and sometimes I don’t know what I want, so when my husband asks me a question, I need to verbally figure out what I want, before I can give him the straight answer. We made a deal where I try my best to let him know if I’m processing, so he knows how to listen.

When I was growing up, people wondered how the German population could go along with Hitler and how they must have known what was really going on.
Looking at America today, I'm not so sure...
Hitler was against the Jews, but he also killed the people with disabilities.
Nowadays, the enemy isn't the Jews necessarily, but rather than white man, and the disabled babies are aborted before they even have a chance at life.

A lightning storm passed by as we were hanging out at a Starbucks last night.
The lights flickered once and the Starbucks system lost internet, but wifi was still working.
They closed the main doors, but let us keep hanging out until normal closing time about 2 hours later.
The sky was purple as the multitudes of lightning strikes flashed clearly across the sky.
The wind pushed the rain to go sideways, hitting the floor-to-ceiling windows we were sitting next to.
We made friends with a young man who had considered becoming a meteorologist as he loved crazy weather.
The AC had finally calmed down from the previous freezing heavy winds it had been omitting, so we were actually kind of cosy in there.
A big room with only 4 guests, and the staff doing deep cleaning to keep themselves occupied as they couldn't take orders anymore.
At one point there was a loud bang and everything went black for a couple of seconds, but then the lights and wifi came back on.
By the time closing came around, the rain had stopped, the wind had ceased, and most of the lightning had passed by.
It was exciting and fun, and I left with a similar feeling like I had as a kid staying up late with friends as we were staying away from home.

What I was thinking was with the emphasis on Competence. If I do something, like you mention, without the skills, I'm not competent.
If I do something based on the lie that I can do something I've never done, it won't come across as competence.
So, when someone is competent, you can see the truth in their actions, (as you say) the fitness, adequacy, suitability, skilledness.
If that makes any sense?
Fiat lies and doesn't have competence, #bitcoin tells the truth, and is competent (does the thing it's supposed to do really well).

Take your thoughts captive, and a y time you feel nervous, or worried about the IV, start telling yourself what you just said. It's easy, it's quick, it'll be over before I know it, the person putting it in will find a vein quickly and easily and on the first try.
And then you can add, once I get that, I'll get the surgery and then I'll finally be pain free, oh what a relief that will be.
And like someone mentioned, focusing your mind on something really good and exciting that's unrelated can also do wonders during the days before.
I don't like needles either, and at 17 had to get a shot, and was super nervous, but then something happened so i thought that maybe this one guy liked me, and i got myself super distracted by that. It was a great distraction as I barely thought about the shot, but I've learned that running away with romantic thoughts about someone else is not a good idea.

Are you more the engineer type, and he's more of a practical type who sticks with one thing until it's done?
My husband is an ENTP personality and he loves efficiency and has a hard time when things are not efficient, and invents things to create systems instead if ysibf brute force, and has been misunderstood because of it. He can totally stick to out if it is something that actually matters, but if there's a system for it, or it doesn't matter, then why do it himself?

After the Secret Service boss lady tried to claim the local police was supposed to be in charge of the area where the wannabe assassin was, the local police wouldn't take it.
The police in Butler, Pa made a statement saying they had ONLY been tasked with traffic duty, so they only had 7 cops on sight.
So, when the people started telling them about the man on the roof with a gun, they were not expecting to be handling security.
There was a cop that climbed up and the wannabe assassin pointed his gun at the cop who was not prepared and apparently got injured as he got down as fast as possible/fell down in order to not get shot.

Personally I prefer to play while adulting. With adulting I mean get groceries, buy TP, and pay bills.
I picked a great husband, and I've helped him feel free to have fun while doing important things.
Some women have a tendency "to grow up" but really they just get serious and mean.
Did the laundry get done? Yes? Then I don't care if it happened by shooting hoops with the clothes into the laundry machine. If anything, I might feel sad I missed joining in 🤣

The first time I heard of Trump, back when he ran in 2016, I thought he would be a great option for America. A great way to shake things up and break the political under the table deals tha have been going on for years and years!

One summer, I got a call out of the blue, from someone asking if I was still looking for a job and if I wanted to work at their resort hotel as a receptionist.
I was taken aback because I hadn't applied. We talked for a bit and then she said I could start Monday! I paused her and asked for some more information, as I still wasn't sure what she was offering me!
She clarified some things and then we ended the call.
I later found out that she had requested an ad be put up for the summer jobs she was offering, but the ad hadn't been posted, so she was scrambling to get staff. She'd gotten my contact from a different part of the resort and saw that I had a tiny bit of reception experience and called me.
I worked there for 2 summers and part-time during the winter In between.

My school class joined a soccer tournament when I was 10-11. I didn't usually do soccer, so I was a bit fuzzy on the rules. In the finals I, a back, found myself with the ball approaching their goal, passing everyone. I looked around for someoen to kick it to, as I wasn't supposed to be in the front, when their goaly also passed me?!
Since there was no one to kick it to, and no one even seemed to know I had the ball, I kicked it into the goal, not knowing if it was okay for me to do so, but figuring I might as well, and it counted! 😃
We ended up getting bronze medals, became a team we had kicked out earlier had been swapped back in due to some other team dropping out. But hey, I made a goal, and got a medal!! 😎

We met someone who said she'd had a boyfriend for 5 years! That's too long!!
We had questions, so we asked her, and my husband fathered her, and encouraged her.
"We only get what we ask for, and if the other person isn't willing to go there, we'll take some time to heal, and then put ourselves out there again, and find someone who is willing to go there. And we will be okay!"
My husband and I only needed 68 days of intense conversations where we went through all our dealbreakers, dreams, secrets, and personalities, him trying to scare me away by being as honest as he could, and me going, yes, I can handle all if that, it even sounds like fun.
A lot of people marry someone based on attention and feeling they have when they're together. But the best way to have a great marriage is to practice sharing ALL our secrets, and trusting the other person to handle their own emotions, and give them the freedom to be themselves, instead of trying to make them into ourselves.
Oh, and secrets are, "I felt uncomfortable when you spoke to me like that," so boundaries about how we wanna be treated, "I really wanna get some ice cream," desires or dreams, however big or small, but our true, maybe usually hidden from ourselves too, dreams and wants.
As well as any other thing we hesitate to share with ourselves or our significant other.
Marriage has been attacked and distorted and most people don't even know what it is anymore. They think it's a big deal, but not sure why. They see everyone else getting married and then divorced, causing it to look like a hopeless endeavour.
Marriage isn't hopeless, it is hopeful! Marriage isn't infatuation, it's a life partnership. Feelings come from connection, not the other way around.
If you're closer (sharing more secrets) to anyone other than your spouse, you're choosing to put someone else in their place, and it wl have negative consequences for your marriage!! (Unless it's a really good therapist who is temporarily training you to be open with your spouse)

And even though we didn't catch the latest high, I earmarked the amount of sats that were worth $5000 Nov 3, 2023, and even after it dropping from 71000 to 61000, those sats were worth over $9000, so because we put our money in Bitcoin, we basically got a $2500 discount! and the other half of those sats can keep growing in value for us! 😎
