We make meditation so complicated. Like nutrition and exercise, meditation is simple but very hard. You have to commit to sitting still in an upright position and paying attention to what is happening in and around your body. Try to do this 10 mins a day for 30 days straight and you will feel learn more about meditation than reading any book/article.

We say bitcoin fixes this, but Vervaeke’s follow up to this clip puts meat on the bones.
As maybe McGilchrist would put it, our collective emissary created a world of scarcity. Bitcoin provides an optional exit from that world. Without scarcity, the biological process of meaning making is able to drive bitcoin adoption. And with each step toward adoption, the scarcity in the emissary’s world grows greater and greater.

Read it last year after about 6 months of diving deep down the bitcoin rabbit hole. I enjoyed it. Made me question a number of widely held beliefs and I bookmarked a number of concepts to come back later for a deeper dive. Ultimately, it broadened my perspective and helped me connect patterns from seemingly unrelated fields of study.
