@npub16mt…pnwy @npub1hg2…k372 would it be possible to combine a smudge/clean filter with annex metadata (e.g. the mp3 tagging info used in other examples here such that the stored blob didn't actually have *any* meta data embeded but on checkout it was populated with the annex metadata? Obviously this would be file-type specific, but it would sure cut down on churn in synced binary data.

@npub16mt…pnwy Any thoughts to suggest for spinning up #speedata, or #patoline in a Nix shell? I think I have almost everything else of note these days running, but Speedata has a messy build with no notion of an installation (which explains why it has never been packaged for any distro) and Patoline only builds against a legacy OCAML toolchain. Since it isn't a very active player in the #typesetter space I can write off the later for now but @npub1cxp…uy0z Publisher probably deserves a fair shake.

I've recently launched an idea at https://polytype.dev — a sort of Rosetta Stone for #typesetting engines.
The idea is to have an example gallery that showcases both differences and similarities between the input and output of #SILE, #TeXLaTeX, #Typst, #speedata, #weasyprint, #pagedjs, and potentially others.
The source code is at https://github.com/alerque/polytype and contributions are very welcome! The UI in particular could use the touch of a front-end developer!

@npub1qk6…xe9j @npub16mt…pnwy @npub14az…m7gz It is even easier because you can take both sides separately and feed it through `hledger -f a.ledger -f b.ledger` and get a merged version back with out-of-order bits sorted. Assuming of course neither side has non-attatched comments (transaction or posting comments are fine) or non-transaction data—this is a limitation I just impose on my data anyway to get free merging, normalizing, formatting, etc.

@npub1ks7…eg5u Removing or not including some titles from a library, a section of a library, or schools does not equate to "book bans" or censureship. Not all content belongs everywhere. Some of it distinctly belongs nowhere. Certainly some of it does not need to be disseminated using pubic funds.

Is there something I can do to get somebody to work with me to restore access?
