To paraphrase Hannah Arendt, wherever people desire simple solutions to complex problems, totalitarianism will always be a threat.
The desire for radical simplification btw is always what led to the post-apocalypse in the books I studied (the ones that let readers in on how it happened anyway).
I tend to associate black-and-white thinking with fascism, for that reason. I'm very wary of with-us-or-against-us rhetoric, especially these days.

Got a free trial from a friend to LinkedIn Premium because I was super interested and I am underemployed. Any port in a storm, right?
Having access to an entire library of courses is amazing; what is not is the fact that in my very first course on PM fundamentals the instructor casually mentions that some stakeholders would be opposed because they would lose their jobs.
Like... shouldn't that be cause for an all-team meeting to talk about how to go forward without being a shitty person?

Loving the #solarpunk stories from Grist, although audio listeners be warned, the AI that reads it to you will skip the italicized words entirely. My experience listening was VERY different than when I clicked in to read the stories, which I had to wait to do until I had the time to sit and fiddle with my small phone screen.
The stories are amazing, and so is Grist for #publishing them. Wish they would employ actual #audiobook #VoiceActors tho.

O #cyclists of Mastodon, I beg your aid! I drive an old but sturdy #omafiets that has a solid steel frame. I love the #upright #bicycle experience (as someone with back problems and chronic pain, it's actually a necessity...) BUT I also have chronic #fatigue and it's a HEAVY #bike. I want to convert it to an #ebike if possible - any recommendations or places I should start looking? I'm in #Canada, so if it doesn't ship here, it's no good :(
