psx games have to be played through psp mode since nobody bothered to port a psx emulator
if you nopaystation a game with a million DLCs you have to manually click each one
all the PS2 ports have slightly reworked controls and will make you question why youre not just using a steam deck in the year of our lord MMXXV

cooling and battery wattage are huge bottlenecks for this form factor which makes it impossible to just cram more powerful specs in the package. cutting down on resolution is a great way to make everything run better, so pc handhelds are sabotaging themselves with bigger specs

@nprofile…r70d yeah wii kids were absolutely doing research on new games, reviews, etc. the biggest feature of the wii was wifi and a browser, which ps360 did not make nearly as intuitive. nintendo directs were a very obvious next step to skip the middle man and give everyone a press release, since they were watching E3 yearly too

@nprofile…z5q5 @nprofile…h6f2 yeah, but cutting the price of each component really hurts the usability of headsets: screens need to be good, cameras need to track well, controllers need to stay connected, chip needs to keep 90+ fps. the same doesn't really apply to laptops and phones, which can be really really crappy before they stop being functional

but no it won't sell well, people who are looking for relaxing social VR experiences go straight to vrchat. VR games in general don't get a large amount of purchases, but there is a small group of people who lap up every above-par VR game.
