My Elegoo ABS-Like V3 Transparent resin has arrived today (on Canada day? That wasn’t necessary lol).
I wanted this for the .. things.. bases? that flying units and Warfleets space ships are on. I think a transparent .. stalk? looks better than adding some weird bit of terrain and then attaching the model to that.

I really dig this AK Rough Terrain stuff. It comes white, then you just paint or airbrush it to whatever you need. I think it looks really good before I even add the fancy moss and vines.
Definitely going to check out their other stuff in this line for future armies and maybe terrain pieces.

Army Painter Soft Tone in the little bottle, and, Army Painter Soft Tone in the little bucket, are NOT the same. They are the same shade, but the bucket is like, oil based or something – quite different.
It stinks to high heaven
It has a glossy appearance
It dries sloooooow
I tested it on a spare soldier and didn’t like the results at all. I’m testing it on a vehicle, where I think the look will be fine, and the bulk of the stuff I have will be actually useful.

Ok I got my resin calibrated reasonably well.
The Elegoo ABS-Like V3 end results are pretty similar to the Sunlu ABS-Like. The amount of flex is basically identical.
Could be my settings, but maybe the details were ever so slightly sharper. What I did like is that is very watery and when I washed it, there was barely anything that stuck to the models, my IPA stayed nice and clear.
Good stuff, great price. Yeah I like it.
