Some people have the same #name as their first name and as their last name. Like Ahmed Ahmed.
Are there jurisdictions that prohibit duplicating the first name of a child as their middle name? Think Daniel Daniel Smith.
What about hyphenated first names, such as Jean-Pierre. Why not Pierre-Pierre?
After all, there are people with first name "Dee Dee".

@npub1g0t…tvm4 OK, but your neighbours don't necessarily know what you can('t) afford. I posit that it is more accepted by people that seniors travel, compared to 1980. Hence an "absence" raises less suspicion.
Maybe larger participation of women in the workforce is another factor. Less people are at home, watching the comings and goings of their neighbours.
Probably fewer daily milk & newspaper subscriptions that pile up.
Wait for automated home tech to reach high penetration among seniors!

@npub1g0t…tvm4 My hunch is that there are many factors at play.
1. Better insulated/vebtilated living spaces. Smell isn't noticed as easily.
2. More 1 person households.
3. Longer life.
4. Less dense social networks (for various reasons, including longer lives and better mobility), i.e. loneliness.
5. Better flowing money - few landlords and utilities come to collect money in person.
6. It is much more common for seniors to travel. Which makes absence less suspicious.
7. Probably other factors
