1. Better insulated/vebtilated living spaces. Smell isn't noticed as easily.
2. More 1 person households.
3. Longer life.
4. Less dense social networks (for various reasons, including longer lives and better mobility), i.e. loneliness.
5. Better flowing money - few landlords and utilities come to collect money in person.
6. It is much more common for seniors to travel. Which makes absence less suspicious.
