Ich kann dabei nur für mich selber sprechen. Für mich reiht sich die Ankündigung des 37C3 ein in eine ganze Reihe von vergleichbaren Erfahrungen, die mich zunehmend ausschliessen. Das geht an die Nieren. Für mich war der CCC eine der letzten vernünftigen Orgas. Aber auch, wie gesagt, eine hybrid Veranstaltung bleibt es ja eh, und das ist sehr okay.

Ich verstehe, dass eine Makenpflicht hier nicht greifen kann, weil es dann auch Durchsetzung (Policing) bräuchte. Hierzu kann es aber einen Konsens der Orga geben, der sich dann auch durch soziale Mechanismen gut durchsetzen lässt, siehe die erwähnten Veranstaltungen.
Aber noch viel besser wäre eh eine dezentrale Veranstaltung, andere Diskussion.

Und wie gesagt, die Anreise muss ich nicht im ÖV machen, dazu gibt es workarounds. In's Hotel, Restaurant muss ich auch nicht. Aber wenn es am Congress keine Schutzmassnahmen geben wird, dann werden ich (und sehr viele andere) ausgeschlossen und unter den Bus geworfen.

Dort ist die Diskussion zum Ableismus halt schoin viel weiter hier als hier im eugenischen Europa. Selbstorganisation heisst auch die Schwächsten einzubeziehen, zu schützen. Everyfuckingthing is getting more expensive. Rent, extra charges, health insurance, electricity, public transport, postage and even our small allotment garden, that is supposed to support us in sustenance. How should this be feasible? It is a continuous shift of funds to the top. The poor get squeezed to their last dime, while the rich get ever more rich. Filthy rich.

We are stuck living here, surrounded by reactionary assholes and bullies, who are so loud that we can never even sit outside to enjoy the summer and who literally don't let us breathe, because the air is so fucking thick with perfume in the morning and smoke from their balcony fire places and grills in the evening. The rent just got even higher, to the point of almost no longer payable. Yet we can't move. Because of the pandemic and all the high-risk situations a move would entail. I am so done.

@npub14tk…hprm Danke fuur den schönen Talk.Kleiner Tipp von meiner Seite: Die peruanische Wildtomate, die du ja glaube ich auch gezeigt hast, ist eine tolle Tomate die ganz ohne Regendach, Geizen und Stützen auskommt. Sie es deshalb ideal für Leute die nicht zu viel rumbasteln möchten. Meiner alten Mutter gebe ich immer so einen Setzling, weil sie die einfach im Topf auf den Balkon stellen möchte, das Giessen ist ihr Aufwand genug, aber sie hat immer eine schöne Ernte.

The two movies that everyone is talking about this summer, Barbie and Oppenheimer, both are not available for streaming. The only pirated copies so far are unwatchable screeners. Only available in cinemas.
During an on-going pandemic this means Immuno-compromised, chronically ill and disabled have to wait to be able to see it. Not even in this area have we learned anything during this pandemic.
